I can't help but feel 17th would be a HUGE disappointment. Regardless of the circumstances that we did it in.

What about Europa League and 12th place or FA Cup and 5th place?

Which would you rather win this season? On the face of it, it should be the latter really especially since the winners of that go into the next season's CL. I do love the FA Cup though...

Mine was a 1-1 draw against Stockport. I actually remember being at a friend's house with some other friends playing Fifa while that match happened, we had it on the radio. If I remember rightly both goals were penalties and one was in stoppage time. That's a pretty cool webpage.

When would any signings have to be done by in order for them to be able to play at the weekend?

The Vitesse fans made the evening more enjoyable. They sang and danced for 90 minutes. Fair play to them. Hopefully our fans give as good as that over there next week.

Makes sense now we have Caulker and possibly another CB arriving too. Maybe we can get them to take Turnbull as well. They seemed to form a decent understanding together at Swindon and if we can get them used to playing together now we could have the next Claus/Killer type partnership in a few years time. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself though...

Good performance from everyone. Fonte, Wanyama and Mane were absolutely amazing. Special mention for Vitesse fans, they were quality throughout. I wouldn't mind seeing Koeman rest a couple of players in the away leg but not lots. I'd go for... Stekelenburg Cedric - Caulker -Yoshida - Targett Reed - Wanyama - JWP Long - Pelle - Jaunmi

The posts on here reek of the thread when we signed Bertrand and look how that turned out. I for one am delighted with Caulker. He's still young, has England experience but has just been in two sh1te teams over the last two seasons. I believe that under Koeman's guidance and along side Fonte, he could be a brilliant player for us this season. There's clearly a lot of talent there.

Thank **** for that. Don't get me wrong, he's not ****, he's a decent enough player but I would hope we'd be looking at players at a slightly higher level, especially when I think the quoted fee was £12 million or something ridiculous like that. I saw in one of the papers yesterday (The Sun, I think it was) that we want Callum Chambers back on loan and Wenger will decide in the next seven days (six now) whether to let that happen or not. I only skim read it but I couldn't see any quotes or anything there so probably just paper talk. Sorry if it's already been mentioned on here.

I beg to differ. My friend supports Arsenal but other than that, I very rarely see an Arsenal shirt out and about. I do, however, see at least one United shirt every time I go to the City Centre.

Very pleased. Been expecting/hoping us to sign him for the last 12 months, liked the look of him at the WC. I'm pleased with signed him but I'm totally amazed we've got him so cheaply.
