Can't see him going before we appoint a new DoF.... on balance it doesn't make sense. However time is running out for us in relation to the passing of games and the nearing of the January window (although I doubt we'll spend anything). Some big decisions to be made by Ralph, Gao etc. Are they up to it?

Will we see Maya back in the frame now that Les has gone?
-
Wonder if they've been consulting with Koeman around this... he was at the City game... couple of days later this happens. If you were Gao and knew nothing about football, who might you ask? Perhaps our most successful recent manager? Curious how we'll structure things now... the Echo piece was telling on the change in structure when Cortese left. Wenger might be a good shout....and we become a mini-Arsenal. Is he too old now though? Interesting few weeks coming up I think.

Wow...shocked. Didn't expect this. Pleased and relieved also... long, long overdue. We desparately need a new approach and some fresh ideas. That said, Les did loads of good for Saints. Worth remembering the heights that we reached, and are now so frustrated at being nowhere near, were delivered by his work...so I think we owe him some gratitude. It's a bit like the Wenger situation really. Onwards and upwards, with a sigh of relief.

Wonder if Gao might bring him in as a consultant to advise on football matters? That could be a good rumour to start.....
-
Yep, heard that. Guess he was just watching Dutch players.

How depressing is it that we're suggesting BFS as our next manager? Were the Adkins, MoPe and Koeman years just a dream? Thing is though, BFS would improve us, and probably would keep us up.... and we'd see some commitment and fight from our lacklustre players.

Ahhh. See, my brain went immediately to thoughts of drug issues or gambling problems, which could also have an impact on his mindset/form. Perhaps I'm too much of a cynic!

Why does Forster need every penny?
-
Just seen this confirmed. So sad. RIP.
-
Think I saw a report that it landed on the pitch at 8:30pm, and took off just a few minutes later.
-
Twitter post saying owner has died. Really hope that's ********.
-
Hopefully no fatalities. Lots of flames, worryingly.
-
Agree. The squad is very poor..... but no excuse for the lack of fitness, organisation and tactics.
-
Showing more strength, more desire and has the confidence to shoot now. He's going to become a very decent player for us.
-
Are we this year's Sunderland? Villa? WBA? It's not looking good.
-
Bournemouth 3-0 up. Showing us what a well run, stable club can do.
-
We are nowhere near as boring as under MoPe. We are looking much better at times going forward...far more creative: faster ball movement, more midfielders in the box; although not creating as many decent chances as we should. Yet. Thought it was interesting that against Everton Targett looked far more of an attacking threat than Bertand has this season...and we seemed to create more. I'm much more positive about our forward play (despite the bluntness of Austin and Long). It's the **** defence and awful substitutions that worry me.
-
Precisely this. Turning point for us perhaps?
-
Anyone take those long odds for the Everton win earlier on?
-
Just described us as balanced and composed.
-
So it sounded like 3 at the back worked ok (so far).
-
Sounded like a clear penalty against us....not given. Push from Stephens.
-
Thought the same. Wonder if she has a nuns outfit?
