Jan Transfer Window One Realistic Signing Who Would You Buy

Bojan. -
Villa stole it off Sunderland, who sang it for Mignolet.

Would be surprised if that went through, agreeing a fee is the easy bit. Stoke City forum makes funny reading - 53 pages on Shaqiri, over 200 pages on Konoplyanka, a thread where they are getting excited about Cedric Soares signing for them only for him to join us and my personal favourite "how the hell is Nzonzi valued at 6-8m and Schneiderlin 25m"
-
Newcastle will probably guarantee him to be the main man in the team, so I expect him to go there.

Chelsea after John Ruddy according to today's papers.

21/22 got the last one wrong. Was only 4 in 1994, but a lot of those players were still around when I started collecting stickers in 1997.

If we are going to sell Clyne or Schneiderlin to Arsenal or Chelsea, maybe we could do a deal to include either Jenkinson or Bamford in the deals. Papers were saying West Ham readying a £10m move for Jenkinson, but could haggle a better deal if they really want Schneiderlin. Trippier and Byram have both been mooted as Clyne replacements, but Jenkinson could be a good option if we could get him for around £6m. Bamford would give us some extra depth up front, especially if we get in Europe too. Would like to see Van Dijk come in if we can't secure Alderweireld. Suggested Mowatt on the other page, Will Hughes also if Derby fail to go up he will surely move on also. Not sure either of these, or indeed any player in that position would arrive if we were to sign both Clasie or Vilhenna. But I guess we did sign Djuricic on loan and he probably won't stay, so could open up the option to sign another midfield player.
-
Alex Mowatt from Leeds looks like a good young player and has scored the majority of his goals from outside the box which is something we lack.
-
4th place this season. If you said only one of those options could happen in my lifetime then it would be FA Cup instead though.

Will Roko and the board go for broke in January!!!

Clasie and Berahino. -
Good performance from the lad - worth remembering that Bertrand will be unable to play in both league games vs Chelsea, so it was good to see Targett coping well against a top side.

I would say Hooiveld having an offer from Germany was new, to me anyway. -
It has been mentioned by both Guan and Koeman himself that we are after 4 or 5 new players. I wonder if it is 4 with Lovren expected to leave, or 4, but 5 if Lovren leaves. Or potentially 4, but 5 if Schneiderlin leaves. I can't see us signing a central midfielder even if Schneiderlin goes. So what positions are most important? Lets assume Lovren has gone. if we sign 4: GK, LB, CB, ST if we sign 5: GK, LB, CB, ST, WG I'd want 2 centre backs really, so 6 players... bit of a disaster if we sign just 4.

Does anyone know if Ramirez is due back from holiday today? Would be nice to see him get some game time at Bournemouth on Friday.
-
The article I read yesterday was that he was having his wages tripled from 10k to 30k per week.

Wolves away in 07/08. Decided at the last minute to get the bingo bus up on my own. 2-2 with Jason Euell heading home a 90th minute equaliser from a Mario Licka corner. Vignal scored a penalty for us to make it 1-1, but then got sent off minutes later. Ebanks-Blake had put Wolves ahead twice, including with about four minutes to go, so it was nice to get a point. Oh I was also stood next to Mario Licka's wife, was tempted to hug her when we scored, but thought i'd probably get arrested lol. Someone feel free to do a rule 1.
