It actually came up in a conversation with many others in the room about would we take him back at Saints so not really my source just thought I would throw it into this thread.

I was told by someone that spoke to Levy...Harry thought he was getting the England job, he just lost interest, had nothing to do with reserves, academy or youth. He was only interested in the England job not Spurs which p1ssed off Levy who looked around for a replacement and decided to get rid regardless if he got job or not.

I would scour Europe for 2 out of contract defenders and 1 ball winning agressive kicker in midfield. 1 month contracts :-) Shouldnt be impossible to find better than what we currently have!

I was so proud today of my lad and the teams he refereed and the parents of the boys playing. He held a minute silence at both games he did today u11 and u12 and it was immaculately observed by everyone. The young lads knew what it was about and were brilliant. Wear a poppy don't wear one...but today showed me that there are kids still about who were prepared to remember the dead and thats what today was about for me. Lest we forget

Why Hoddle? What did he do at Spurs or Wolves to suggest he could do anything here? He was manager at The Dell ..so was dear old Ted so should we dig him up...or better still we could roll his statue in every game at SMS it would be the same effect as Hoddle? Why has no-one employed him in 5 years? Why did he start up his own academy....that has failed....why has not one club employed him? Yet his name gets trotted out so regularly on here is laughable. Its questionable whether he should of got the job above Sturrock but again there were better candidates than Hoddle and his baggage at that time as there are now.

Going back to my schooldays I often would watch them play - the team then was run by Alec(x) Perkins who was teacher at Weston Park so you can guess what school made up the most players then. At that time it was my school Redbridge, Weston, Bellemoor and Merry Oak that were usually semi finalists. I played against Graham Baker from Merry Oak who was outstanding even at that age and that kicker Graham Roberts from Spurs/Rangers who was a right hard man even then.

Yep and there was a massive hole where Lallana and Fox should have been. No point in playing 2 up front if we have no wingers to supply the crosses thats why Lambert looks so ineffective at the moment - the quality of crosses are abysmal. If we can get Richardson on the right and Clyne on the left we may improve.

I was embarrassed with that defending and tactics last night....I have coached boys and girls for over 10 years and if any of them had turned their back.... and how you can have a defence that is so narrow a winger constantly has 10 yards with no-one anyone near him beats me. Yep agree with all of that...and for me made the game against Leeds even more baffling. A win there would of lifted the gloom, with the subs bench we didn't even give us a chance of that. Pardew wanted to win every game and that started us back on the winning habit look where that took us. Wednesday took us back to the old days for me. I don't want us relegated but if we do it wont hurt half as much as 2005 did.
