  1. Wrong, many of us don't see it all as the holy grail, my ideal would of been to finish top and stay in the Championship. Can anyone honestly say they enjoyed the first 60 minutes last week - Spurs never got out of 3rd gear - we were terrible against Wigan, West Ham and there is something terribly wrong since the Coventry game at the end of last season. We have a manager that has made some simply disturbing decisions why? I go to watch Saints win and enjoy the games with my lad - his ticket has doubled in the last 2 seasons. We went to Daggers for £31 for the two of us. Man City would of cost us £120. We are not equipped for this division and honestly don't believe we will be for a while yet.
  2. I understand your point but disagree, its far easier to raise £1m and the gates we were getting would cover those wages - and I can't believe he was on much at Bristol anyway. 12m + wages for Gaston wouldn't be covered - ok Sky money but that must cover all the other wage increases, bonuses etc of the squad.
  3. Went to the game there last year - concourse is poorly designed - cramped, the corners weren't filled in at that time and the atmosphere from them was poor apart from just that one big stand. The one bright thing was the real ale! Transport is a nightmare as everyone joins the same queue for the train and get on the same train and heard that its kicked off more than once. For the amount they paid for it 90+ its poor.
  4. Yeah that James Ward-Prowse and Ben Reeves will never make the first team....
  5. Well Willo is already here running the u13's academy team....and doing a great job as well.
  6. Its just the manner and odd decisons again tonight on top of the Man Utd substitution then doing the same against Fulham, dropping Lambert at West Ham, tonights bench was a joke - I understand the first team but where were the players to turn that game around if needed...and they were needed I dont think Nigel should go but there is something undoubtedly wrong at the club at the moment too many wacky decsions for someone that proved how good he can be for 2 seasons. What is the cause is what we should focus on not sacking Nigel that's where Lowe started going wrong.
  7. ...and winning breeds confidence....do you honestly believe we are even close to winning a game at the moment?
  8. Not forgetting Redknapp did exactly the same thing when he was here to prove a point to Lowe then slaughtered them
  9. I can understand giving the fringe players a game but that bench is a joke - all the eggs in one basket. Youth away at Leeds.
  10. Then go and read them again if you think its crap then because its clearly explained why...if you knew Dougal then you knew where he stood and you couldnt spit on the away fans from the boxes...it would of hit him!
  11. Jimmy Melia was mine but the useless bald headed numpty deserved it
  12. Well for one Dougal used to stand at the back of the Milton very near me if anyone was spitting it would of landed on him! On the rare occasion a firm did get into the Milton they were shepherded usually across to the far left and no-one would of been able to spit anywhere near them! One of the only firms that managed it were Glasgow Rangers in the Texaco Cup where there was carnage everywhere.
  13. Are you ******....there is so much wrong with your post it proves you are a skate. I have been going since 1967.....first away game was Skates 2 Saints 5
  14. That shows you really are a skate on a wind up...
  15. NA actually did though several times....
  16. hahahah as if anyone would have the balls to admit to that....
  17. He was limping in the car park yesterday....
  18. +1 thought he was the pick of a poor team today - contributed twice as much as Lambert, pace movement and link up was good. He missed a good chance but finished his goal well and hopefully will now kick on. Problem is with that price tag on his head he has to be getting hat tricks and battering defences which is not going to happen yet. He is work in progress and going to take time but I can see a decent player in him.
  19. Not with a defence as bad as ours...everyone knows it and a change of manager will not alter that and make a silk purse out of a sows ear. 2 more gifted goals today IMO - no pressure on the ball, allowed to drift inside and backed off. Until we are able to bring in replacements we are lumbered.
  20. Probably the worst 45 minutes from us I have seen for many a year - Spurs were just cruising, we again gifted them the goals and the way we let Defoe just drift in with no pressure or on Huddlesstone was terrible. The second goal we actually had them on the back foot and then Lallana played an abysmal pass and gave it away and then they just went by us as though not there- was disappointed at Davis giving up the chase back and comical defending gifted it again. As others have said its changed with Mayuke coming on and offering us pace and we could finally get in behind them. Ricky had a poor game, J-Rod looked much better today and hopefully that goal will push him onwards.
  21. Not quite true...they are not owned by O2 but use their network. Similar to Tesco's using it as well - they pay a 'premium' to O2 for it. I have a SIM from GiffGaff for my lads phone they offer far better packages to suit us than any other High St one.
  22. Just saw Skyfall...loved it great story...shock at end...only disappointing thing was the women in it ....
  23. What like Adkins has ;-)
  24. Top post and puts it far better than I ever could - exactly it for me.
