Best & Worst pubs of 10/11 season?
Give it to Ron replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in Saints Away Supporters
Worst away pub... Dagenham and Redbridge near the station....it was the pits. No crisps, nuts, food but hundreds literally of empty Sambuca bottles. -
We get that up at Compton the Hampshire Rose bottles ok as does Fagins - would be far better than that ****e Tetleys we get.

I have ...big strong lad , good in the air, strong tackler. distribution was the one area he looked bit weak on.

Agree with that..baffles me especially where again today we get battered.

Yep we have clearance for Afridi now....good news....I hope I read Jones is going back to Glamorgan...perhaps we can tempt back that young Tremlett fella he isn't doing too bad!

Golf, Cricket at the Rosebowl and my nipper plays at Wellow on Sundays. In footie season its watching my nipper play for Compton in Testway Saturday morning , Saints in the afternoon. Sunday morning for Tadburn in Tyro for the u15s who I help coach. So don't watch many games a season! I also like watching my daughters boyfriend band The Queue...another excuse to go to the pub.

Really ? discounting programmes, beer, food, merchandise?

Just saw this.... Hampshire chairman Rod Bransgrove admits interest in West Indies star Chris Gayle for T20 IF Afridi situation doesn't resolve
-
I saw him several times - not much pace - skillful but not good enough for the first team at that time.

You already do...

Were 14 year olds paying £240 then? Not sure if someone can help with that?
-
Get your facts right if you are going to butt in! I was paying £15 a game for me and £5 for the lad as a season ticket holder. 23 x 20 = 460!!

Miserable..you are wasting your time I realised ages ago that at Saints it is indeed a **** you jack I'm alright culture. This season its OAPs and Adults and Juniors, wait until the rest get hit with a 65-72% rise then watch them squinny. We just have to suck it up and get on with it if we want to watch Saints - at least with A&J we can move to another cheaper area whereas you are stuffed - its a shame as I believe those with tickets should of kept those concessions - all new should pay the new rate.

Benalmadena - like the place - some great Spanish restaurants.

Was a great bowling performance - especially Briggs and Wood. Our openers were due a fail but thought Lumb played a poor shot considering the state of the game and it was first ball against spin. Vince batted well but again got out going for one he didnt need to. We really do have some talented youngsters who pulled us through last night Briggs, Wood, Vince and that big kid Cork at the end! I had a big smile at the Glamorgan lady sat in front of me with a bundle of sheep wool sat spinning it!

Away to Palace 1-2

I went...brilliant trip, mass game of footie at Dover. The ferry staff were doing a crate for a fiver on board so most were wrecked. The police went onto the coaches to stop anyone that was too ****ed and they warned us we woudnt be allowed onwards- we had one lad propped up with his one year passport card in hand pretending to be asleep. In the ground the tannoy music played Manhattan Transfer Chanson D'Amour ratattata over and over... The stadium was ****e and the steps were crumbling under your feet as you jumped up and down. Oh and we were robbed with that bent lino!! Back to Ostend after the game and packed out the bars - great trip.

Nice Pubs for Lunch with big car parks near Eastleigh - help!
Give it to Ron replied to dubai_phil's topic in The Lounge
River Inn has a carvery - 10 mins walk from Eastleigh train station. On a sunny day you can sit outside by the river in a nice garden. Was thinking of the Cricketers but that would need short taxi ride. Ham Farm does Old Speckled Hen on draft thats not too far up Twyford Road. -
Good news. you cant count yesterday either as that was a slog fest and no chance for slow bowlers. Great decision to include Jones. We need Tahir this year to give Danny a rest. Just need an Afridi replacement.
