Adkins on Saints Player re Transfers
North Wilts Saint replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Noticed Lee was warming up with Barny, given his op and long term absence good to see him there, and that Jaidi was with the main squad, perhaps he might play on Saturday ? -
Camera work was poor, but direction was much worse. the times they went to cover players or mangers when game was in play was worse I have ever seen on the BEEB. They used to be the best. I though they must have had some work experience kids doing

One of the non-Derby games attended was to "support" Danny Wallace in his début for Man.Utd, didn't go down well with locals (BTW - player stats nerds, I think I recall was also Paul Inces's debut for Utd). Remember Colin Clark getting a couple one year.

Saints/Pompey rivalry: A recent history

I always remember Michael Svensson getting injured in the warm-up at Skatesville. As well as impacting that game greatly, his long term absence was a major factor in our eventual relegation. The fact the previous year their win provided both points and the impetus for them to survive was a shock. Previous visits to Crapton park had been victorious for me in the eighties and early nineties. having "bricks" thrown at you whilst held back by police in a decaying away in, and catching up with older relatives post the game who had been spat on in the stands cemented my hatred. -

Me neither - shoddy for a paid for service -
I really hope this is a case of the Echo over-dramatising and he is not in as serious a condition as they suggest, if that is the case then horrible horrible news
-
And is it not that they could only sign him for 93 days, as now an "emergency" loan as outside of window?
-
Yes, tried to but some yesterday to save queueing tonight but was told the same. Will be an "away" ticket office donw the end of the Arkells stand near the stratton bank end, it will be the one with the big queue with 10 mins to kick-off

Oxlade Chamberlain having medical at Arsenal today

He was older, more established and spent several years learning his trade with Saints, and proabaly took a bit longer to show then AOC. But a valuable apprenticeship. AOC has taken a route that Walcott did and reamins to be seen (and can never be proven) it is best for hsi devlopement. But best for his short term bank balance and car bling fund............. -
Mine only arrived today, phoned ticket office yesterday who said phone if not arrived by next Wednesday as were still working through getting them out.

Back to the original point of the thread, Morgan is the most obvious member of the squad yet to be signed up on a new deal, although seem to be only doing one at a time. I hope it is in progress and not due to any desire of his to leave at teh end of his contract. I await news soon he has signed an extension.

White shorts are Stoke. Old skool, balck shorts and red socks - like those, not sure about shirt.

Aaron Martin signs contract extension

I second that, been excellent and will only get better.Him and Jose in the near future and for years to come. Great teams are built on a solid and stable centre half pairing. -
Been much coverage of QPR hiking prices by 40% from last year now they are in the Prem. Adults starts at £549 and go up to £999 (and of course less games). http://t.co/rBdfu73, so if Saints planning was the same way would see big hike this year to facilatate possible promotion price increases without looking astronomical ?
-
I thought strange that Danny B, Dale and Gobern were far as I could tell absent from the celebrations ? Even if not being offered new contracts seems a bit odd. Hopefully I'm wrong and they were there. (Partciullalry as Tommy Forecast was there and played no part, apart from sub at B'mouth) - anyone spot them ?
-
It’s got to be the new kit ?, Jordan S, Tweeted before the aap sponsorship deal was announced he was looking the logo on the new kit. Season Tickets would only be big news if prices were held, and they won’t be, expect to go up considerably.

One thing every club needs to be successful is the manager and chairman work well together. Nicola and Nigel very much appear to, where as Pards never seemed to hit it off with him. Very impressed with Nige, playing Adkins buzzword bingo has got a bit boring but who cares. From his own bingo sheet "together as one", chairman, manager, coaching staff, players and fans - the manger is central in making this happen, not just about picking players and tactics (at that is hard enough) - so hats of to Nigel

Thanks

From BAHA Website "Gus Poyet picks the same side the sealed the League One title with a 3-1 win at Walsall last Saturday. The Albion boss also names an unchanged bench for this afternoon's clash against Southampton."
-
Easy win at the Memorial stadium. Lloyd James came to watch, good day out. Hope for same again. Shame the pasties at SMS are no where near as good at those at their place. (Mind you Pards got sacked agter that 4-0 win........as we saw Guly for the first time)
