  1. What a f***** mess that is. And no Prowsey. What a sh*t team and a s**t club we now have
  2. Pretty sure none of them will - the pathway is blocked for our youngsters these days. No wonder some are looking to leave. We'll buy a load of dross and play them ahead of our own youngsters. Ballard scores for fun at all levels and yet cannot even get on the bench for the 1st team. I hope in the Championship our youngsters actually get a chance to play.
  3. What a bunch of completely wet fannies on here. Using any reason to give stick to Jones (without knowing the context rather than 1 line) - yesterday we played OK and are much tighter at the back. Everyone knows we need a striker - and needed one last summer and last season - but good strikers do not grow on trees. It's shame it may be a season too early for the likes of Morgan and Ballard - but we will likely need them in the Championship next year. For the last 18 months this club has been in dire straits and those berating Jones for 1 win in 6: how many did we win previously? It won't get turned round overnight (or at all unless we find a good goal scorer). But even then, we just don't create many chances and this is where the real problem lies. For me, Tella would be a far better option than Edozie. We tried to be too cute in the summer re. signings and did not get the balance between experience and promise right.
  4. Agreed, as I was also have Benali in there!
  5. Well, what a difference a week makes. I, amongst the majority, was keen for Jones to go, out of his depth, etc. Maybe, just maybe, the club was in a worse condition than any of us really knew. Since Forest he has us playing as a team, some nice football, some bite and a togetherness not seen for a very, very long time. Although it is still early days, I am prepared to eat crow. As bad as things were after Forest, I have had to pinch myself since! I believe I was wrong - Jones could actually be a good fit. PLay like we have the last 3 games and we won;t be going down.
  6. This is insane - 5 at the back hoof ball with a bunch of midgets. Jones has to go and go now. Never, ever is this going to work - and wtf with Ely, A Armstrong et al all continuing to play when we have youngsters from the Academy that could not do any worse whatsoever. This club is rotten to the core
  7. Get Jones out tonight and bring in our Nige for the rest of the season. Better chance of working than this idiot being in place and will bring back some positivity. Anything but this for the rest of the season.
  8. JONES OUT! Hopeless - looks like a little boy lost on the sidelines and playing 5 at the back with Lyanco as a lynchpin? So far out of his depth - SR are turning out to be terrible owners
  9. The idiots running this club will likely bring him back and continue playing Eli and Djeneppo and Walcott ahead of him. Unfortunately Jones is feeling like a Branfoot v2 - he wants experience and his tactics seem to consist of hoofing it at the earliest opportunity. Burnley are playing fast flowing, attractive football. Tella's pace alone would be an asset.
  10. Its now just laughable. Lyanco ahead of ABK? The same useless t**s selected week after week and now a manager so far out of his depth its untrue. SR are off to a terrible start and do not look good owners. Losing Crocker should have been a warning sign. Who on earth thought Jones would be a good fit? Terrible hoof ball manager
  11. Well if that is an indication of our 'brave new world' I think I'll watch paint dry over watching Saints. Utter garbage, not a youngster in sight and same old failing players continuing to fail. What on earth was our manager doing playing 5 at the back against L1 opposition?
  12. Not impressed with SR so far - Crocker appeared to be making a significant difference and the youth/academy teams were getting stronger. And our failure to get a striker in the summer was criminal.
  13. Still feeling completely underwhelmed by this appointment - hope he's a major success but right now I am not very hopeful about the remainder of the season. Hope I am completely wrong. Certainly not expecting attractive football from this manager.
  14. I really hope some of these really talented youngsters get an opportunity soon. I'd much rather see Morgan or Ballard than the waste of spaces Armstrong and Adams up top.
  15. Don;t know where you were but I can assure you they (americans) do care about the World Cup. People who might not ordinarily follow soccer are very engaged with the World Cup and are right behind their team. Pretty much every game is on prime time TV and well watched (the England game had 15 million viewers on English speaking channels, so more if you include Spanish speaking channels) and the bar we watched it in was packed with both American and English fans.
  16. Morgan must be close to a 1st team start despite only being 16. What a crop of attacking players we have in this group: Ballard, Doyle, Dibling, Morgan, Edwards, Pearce
  17. Read the full article for context. What a bunch of hysterical wet blankets that exist on this board.
  18. No question - he's only 20 but better than McCarthy and as he learns he will be a beast. Some of the posters here have not got a clue
  19. Hopefully last time we see some of these players in a Saints shirt (thinking A Armstrong, Moi, and most of that disgusting looking bench)
  20. Complete meh from me. Totally underwhelming and not looking forward to defensive hoof ball - seen enough of that recently.
  21. Agreed @Winnersaint - seemed like a really good guy and loyal to boot. At times we were a joy to watch but, unfortunately, in more recent times less of that and tactics represented more a "sense of fear". You could argue that was understandable due to our terrible striker options and players who could not hit a barn door. I was shocked looking at Ralph when he joined and how he appears now - looking much, much older and very jaded. Hopefully he will recharge and find a good job (if that's what he wants) and he did work (overall) well with the terrible squads we have had under his tenure. Some of his team selections and tactics were baffling towards the end of his tenure.
  22. I feel for Ralph - he comes across as a broken man and has done for quite a while. He's just out of ideas: how can you make a silk purse out of a sow's ear? Players like Adams, Moi, etc. are an absolute joke: no manager will be able to miraculously make them good or clinical in front of goal. Looking at the defenders reactions to Adams latest horrific miss ( they sank to their knees on the half way line) and JWPs look of utter disgust was telling. What must it be like for the team knowing that no matter what they do our "strikers" are beyond useless. We should be grateful for what Ralph achieved during his time here - but we are long overdue for a change. It's gone completely stale. However, if we do not get a creative midfielder and a decent striker we are as good as down no matter who the manager is.
  23. Why would it be a coup? Never managed outside of Argentina and is an unknown: River Plate had their worst season for years this year (although he has won a ton of trophies in his time there). Some random Twitter guy links him with Barcelona and then it's a coup for us?
  24. What the hell is that from Ralph re. subs?
  25. Adams is so bad all you can do is laugh at his misses
