What an utter f**** t***. Firmly in the relegation battle my arse. 1 more win will be enough and if we can't beat Huddersfield and Bournemouth at home we deserve to be relegated.
-
Yeah - and look at their stats. 1-2 shots a game - deadly dull no doubt and Pellegrino happy with a 0-0. He really was an awful, awful manager.
-
Agree - I will never forget the debacle at Reading. Utterly awful manager and terrible human being
-
He's a bitter, twisted c***. He's hated us ever since he got the move he was angling for. Utter t^^t.
-
Relax - think we are as safe as houses. I fully expect us to finish much higher up than we are now. If we strengthen in attack (which we have failed to do the last 2 years since Pelle left) I reckon we will be challenging for 'best of the rest' next season. RH has made a massive difference and I think 2 or 3 players is all we need in the summer and try to shift a lot of the deadweight (even if we subsidise wages).
-
Feel for Cardiff - some of the worst officiating imaginable. Not fussed about us - we'll be just fine and reckon we could even sneak 12th the way we are playing. But that could be the nail in Cardiff's coffin: and they did not deserve that. Simply awful
-
Draw would have been fair. Really unlucky to lose and 2 stonewall penalties not given. Proud of the side today - especially as we have no strikers at the club. JWP fully deserves an England call up and Valery's goal was sensational.
-
WTF is the point of that comment you pathetic little t**t?
-
Can't agree with this.... Valery looks a gem, Targett is improving the more games he gets, JWP is a solid player, Obafemi looked good in flashes, Stephens has been good until the last 2-3 games, Slattery looks like he could be a very good player. Put it this way - they are better than most of our seasoned pros. Whether that speaks volumes about our terrible recruitment the last 2 years is another story...........
-
You really are a t**t of the highest order. Go and support some other team - you obviously don't like Saints. Bertrand was absolutely terrible against Cardiff and Targett was very unlucky to be dropped. NO-one rates Shane Long - we play with 10 men when he is on the pitch. Stephens has done OK - our one player comfortable on the ball. Yes an awful error against Cardiff but then PEH failed 9 times out of 10 to pass to his own team mate who was only 5-10 yards from him. But PEH gets a free pass from many on here as he runs around a lot and shows some passion - very little skill but plenty of passion.
-
Which is why Targett should have started.....match fit, in form. Bertrand was the same Bertrand before his injury....people are remembering him from 2 years ago not the Bertrand of the last 18 months. RH got it completely wrong yesterday.
-
100% spot on. I was screaming for someone to take a shot (Hojberg was horrible in this regard) but sideways, sideways, then out to the wings. Personally I thought Bertrand was awful today - and Targett has every right to feel aggrieved being dropped for him. Then again, most of the side were awful as they have been for the last 3 + games. New manager bounce has come and gone. When SHane Long is starting you know we have real issues - it's come to something when I am hoping Obafemi will be fit to start the next game. Long should never pull on a Saints shirt again. He was worse than useless. If I were to give ratings they would be: McCarthy - 5 hardly inspiring confidence and his distribution is abysmal Valery - 7 the one shining light today Stephens - 6 gave the ball away terribly for their winner but they still should never have been able to do anything. One of our better players today Vestergaard - 6 thought he did OK but why can he not jump for headers. At fault with Hojberg for their first Bednarek - 6 not much to do Bertrand - 5 thought he was terrible. Slow, not getting forward enough and too much checking back Romeu - 5 terrible game for him. Struggled with the basics Hojberg - 4 fan favorite but absolutely dire today. An international who cannot do the basics like trapping a ball or passing is a concern! JWP - 5 too often having to come back to collect the ball as we had no attacking guile or instincts Redmond - 5 looked bright at times but then at other times simply ran into dead ends/fell over LOng -2 should never pull on a Saints shirt again. Stealing a living and an absolute embarrasment Subs Elyounoussi - 3 what is the point of this guy? So slow in thought and movement, absolute joke of a buy Austin - 4 did not do anything but should have scored Gallagher - 4 not in the game at all RH - 3 Tactics completely wrong and team selection wrong. Why 5 at the back with 2 DMs against Cardiff? Subs were poor and this was a disastrous result Whether we stay up or go down, there has to be a mass clear out in the summer. The youngsters look far more composed and better than the senior players which is a disgrace.
-
I have changed my mind - we are going down. Absolutely pathetic performance - gutless, talentless, pathetic. SHane Long should never be in a Saints side ever again. The guy is an absolute joke. PEH has been abysmal, we have offered no threat wahtsoever. Utterly pathetic
-
Very harsh on Targett
-
Sorry, but IMO this is b*****x. Targett has been playing really well, is dangerous with his crosses and deserves his place in the team right now. Bertrand is going to have to earn it back - he did not set the world on fire prior to being injured (or last season) - certainly Targett has been better than the recent Bertrand we have seen that could not cross, did not get forward and seemed to have an attitude.
-
Don't get this at all re. 'Bertrand is miles better than Targett'. Matty has improved with a run in the side and is now one of our better performers with more and more assists. Bertrand;s head has not seemed in the right place for 18 months+ and it is clear RH will not (e.g. Cedric as a case in point) play anyone who is not fully committed. Targett has come along well and offers more threat going forward than Bertrand has in quite some time.
-
You really are a miserable sod who doesn't have a good thing to say about anything. Really, it's quite sad and pathetic. If you are referring to Slattery - he did well today as did Valery when he came on. DO you not have any pride that finally we are going back to what worked for us? Did you not feel any pride that nearly half the matchday squad were Academy graduates?
-
What a bunch of pathetic, whining, wan****s on here. Excellent point, gutted to give a pen but quite clearly Stephens was being fouled. For those saying he's never a PL player - yes he is. You t***s are too far up your own arses to see it mind. Honestly - it's pathetic. Burnley are no pushover and we never do well up there. Remember they were 2-0 up in mid-week against United. We have 3 home games against Huddersfield, Cardiff and Fulham. Do the business there and we are pretty much safe. Bunch of tarts
-
If anything sums up our awful transfer dealings the last 2 years, this does. Ings - permanently injured and made of glass. And not getting the "love" for Armstrong. Nearly cost us a goal and really is not a good player
-
See that Tyreke Johnson was not is squad nor Ramsay so must be traveling with the 1st team
-
You must be absolutely gutted.
-
Worst performance under Hussenthal so far - really, really surprised. Would have expected a much different display....can't think of a single player that is looking good. Romeu and Hojberg rash in the tackle, giving the ball away under pressure. Don;t think Valery and Targett have been bad at all - midfield has been utterly dreadful.
-
Good luck to the lad - terrible time with injuries but sounds like he now has his head in the right place. Hope he goes on to have a long and successful career.
-
Wow, I know it is a weakened SPurs side but without Kane they look awful. As for Wanyama - what on earth has happened to him? He looks terrible and can clearly see why he does not play much these days.
-
Is this for real? Can't be surely.............. We are starting to clear out players RH does not rate and are not in his plans. I would have thought that fans would welcome that. Austin, for example, did not even make the bench last time out and SG was there despite returning from injury. For the person who said Redmond is not a striker - lmfao: he has scored 5 in 8 and appears to be exactly the type of player RH loves. Fast direct and not afraid to shoot. Our front line has been awful for the last 2-3 years. Gabbi and Austin don't fit into our pressing style, Ings is OK when fit and then we have the younger players that RH seems to have a lot of faith in. I am encourage a lot by this clear out and can see 1 or 2 others being shipped out if we can find takers for them.
