Could well have something to do with the insane pricing at prem games (35 quid for ticket for Reading with pretty much no discounts for kids/OAPs) and crap economy with Xmas just round the corner. By way of comparison, I can go see a very successful MLB side (washington Nationals) with a good seat for as little as $8. And a terrible NBA side for as little as $2 (wizards). Add to that, most games can now be streamed live and I would imagine paying attendances play only a small part in revenue generation for the club.

Jeez.........poor old NA can't win can he? With some of the posters on here, they get all excited because we fail to beat Man U, Man City, etc and we're told NA is out of his depth by the armchair experts. Now, conversely, we have a "kind fixture list" (conveniently forgetting the terrible fixture list at the start of the season) and some moan we have not done well enough in those games. We are now back in touching distance of several teams above us and improving. We should be OK if we can keep up the same performance levels and strengthen in January. This was always going to be a very tough year but the manager and team are learning and adapting all the time

Brilliant!

delldays.....why are you such a whiney, persistently negative person? Too long on a sub? Whatever it is, it truly is an embarrassment, your bedwetting attitude. The sky is not falling in, we are drawing against a pretty good Norwich side and to say that Gazza has cost us 4 points is just downright pathetic....not to mention calling him a clown. As bad as saying Adkins HAD to go as he was out of his depth, etc. Why don't you go and support Chelsea or Man U if you want to see a team win every week? Hopefully we will improve in the 2nd half and go on to win........whatever happens I am proud of this young side and it's manager and how they are learning to play, the right way, in the Prem.

Really encouraging seeing the Luke Shaw statement in the tabloids about how he loves it at Southampton and doesn't want to go anywhere else. And if we can tie him down to a 5 year contract like JWP then maybe we are on the verge of being able to keep our younger stars as opposed to feeding Arsenal, Spurs, etc. So, now we are in the Prem and have cash do we really believe we can keep hold of our brilliant young talent? And, for those lucky enough to see the U21s and U18s.....who do you think will be the next one(s) to make the breakthrough? It really feels like our club is going places and the support for NA at games (from what I have seen on the Tv here in the US) is real impressive...unlike some of the bedwetters that inhabit this forum.

Nice......the U18s look to have electric pace and some cracking finishes in there. For those of you lucky enough to be able to follow the U18s are there any "stand outs" amongst them?
-
Kevin Gibbens, Phil Warner and Shayne Bradley......as someone else mentioned Neal Bartlett until he got into drugs (and he was a Branfoot picking)

How many of you lot now feel very stupid? You should! Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? For those of you with short memories have you forgotten about the witch hunt with Dave Jones?

FWIW......my thoughts are that Saints looked so bad it was unfunny. Lambert showed why he is not a nailed on starter right now, giving the ball away cheaply and not getting oin threatening positions (to be fair pretty much all the mid have done likewise, with Davis being especially bad) and Fonte is truly awful and nowhere near a Prem player. Pains me to say it but AL also looks far short of a Prem player and Jay has been about our best player (together with Gazza who should never have been dropped in the first instance). very difficult to see how Saints can get anything from this game and, although a long way to go in the season, we sure look doomed to relegation right now.

Very, very disappointed in a number of "fans" here that are trying to make a big thing out of the tragic accident/incident that Allan was involved in. For me, this behavior represents no better than many of the deluded few and there but for the grace of god..... I hope that the guy makes a full recovery and that Allan is OK. Sickening......

Alpine - why don't you just F*** off and go and support someone else you miserable tosser....all you ever do is moan and complain......you're a waste of space. Get behind them ffs.

I remember Gerry Forrest going to hospital and his leg had swollen about 3 times the normal size. And the club had just given him some painkillers.
-
Hopefully very, very wrong but that starting lineup does not fill me with confidence in any way. Both full backs are very poor, the midfield seems very lightweight - hopefully they will tear Fulham a new one and prove me wrong!

Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales
washsaint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
SISA and credible don't go together. Bunch of self-publicising muppets. -
So many of you are a bunch of pathetic, moaning bedwetters. Did you expect Saints to be top of the Prem? Not a great start to the season but we'll be OK once the team gels.....we only have Fonte, Richardson, JWP, Lallana and Lambert out there that were in our side last season. We have to be patient - survival this year would be an achievement and I still think we'll be just fine.
-
good lord......hwo on earth can anyone have a pop at Kelvin for not saving the free kick? No keeper would have saved it......what is it with you plastics that are forever looking for a scapegoat?
-
What's so LOL about losing 6-1? Pathetic.
-
Alpine in moaning shock! I truly hope you are happier in real life than on this board......you are the most miserable sod I have ever come across and are one sad individual. Life is way too short.........and Saints wills be OK. How the hell you can state they did nothing re. the defence in the off season in a joke - we bought 3 players. Up the Saints and get lost the bed wetters!

I have worked with people who lost friends and colleagues in the Pentagon on that day. I would really like to see conspiracy theorists say to them they don't believe the events of that day. It was sheer luck (if it can be called that) that the plane crashed into a part of the Pentagon that was being renovated so there were fewer people than normal in that particular area. Bexy - re. the cell phones.......people were making calls from the pay per use phones on the planes. If you ever get the chance to visit the 9/11 memorial in NYC it is very, very moving......and clearly highlights that people from most/all nations were impacted by these murderous thugs (including Muslims).

Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan
washsaint replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Alpine - what is your problem? Of course there is room for improvement in the Saints side (letting slip leads against Man c and Man U show that). But the style of football we are playing is magnificent and hopefully once the new additions bed in the results will come. But I trust in the Saints management's judgement more than someone who, it appears, all they can do is moan and gripe about EVERYTHING. As good a goal scorer as Sharp is he does not look to have the game for the Prem as he is not a big guy and does not have blistering pace. Lambert has the game.... as a big center forward who will get goals anywhere. All promoted teams have to make these tough decisions: Norwich did, west ham did and we have.............very little room for sentimentality in today's game. And, lets face it, you would be at the front of the line complaining if we did not add to the squad (as you have been many, many times in the past). -
A whopping 5,979 "packed the park" tonight. No-one can deny they have the bestest fans in the world............
-
Good to see some of the younger fringe players get competitive games. Got to be good for their development...it'll be interesting to see how the likes of Reeves, Hoskins, Chambers, Sinclair, etc get on this year.
-
A lot of that goal was down to Fox. Completely drifted away from his player towards the center and left his guy wide open to get the ball to RVP. He really is a weak link in this side.

Men against boys right now. Where is Rodriguez? Not even on the bench

Who?
