  1. I don't know why I'm laughing, because it's true. He doesn't look well, and was probably planning to retire soon. One last hurrah? And what wage will he be expecting? What did Citeh pay him? A lot, I'm sure. Not exactly the young, hungry and eager to prove himself type of manager I was expecting.
  2. Sign him up, and bring this stunner with you. Amore! http://romapress.us/2016/02/23/roma-release-roma-tv-host-francesca-brienza-girlfriend-of-rudi-garcia/ She could take on the half time entertainment. Lovely jubby. Get him name up on the ballot paper, I'm ready to vote.
  3. Lukaku plus £10M for Pelle, more like.
  4. Maybe, but the team did nothing wrong. The fans are still there and it';s the fans creating the issue. Round them up and ship them out by first submarine to Vladivostock. No way can Russia host a global sporting event. But would they create like this back at home?
  5. Not yet. We need to find a manager first.
  6. So it's not Koeman's fault at all. If the club really were going to turf him out at this stage, then I can't hold it against him. Me, I was happy with one more year under him and then accept he would to go to Arsenal etc. Seems the club weren't. Will we ever know the full story? Probably not.
  7. True dat, sis. I have to get Southern for Fareham to Havant. They are shocking.
  8. Good news. If they can sponsor/create a Saints TV channel, free to air, showing all the games - lovely jubbly.
  9. Let's draw a blue line under this and control the controllables! Spiritual home.
  10. De Boer is Dutch, but what else do we know? Not sure who I would want next. Still hoping Koeman sees sense, does another year with us, then goes on to Arsenal, with my/our blessing.
  11. Very sage comment there, MLG. Up to know, we have been a showcase club (Les' expression). Seems Koeman wasn't on board with that.
  12. Yeah, it sounds hideous, but £2.5M a year is £50k a week. Expect some players are on more than that? £4M is around £80k a week. We paid that for Gaston to play elsewhere, for goodness sake. This is poker now. We have to up our offer.
  13. We don't know for certain that Chambers still has it. Two years of inactivity. Why not take him on loan now, with purchase price agreed, if we want to make it a perm deal. £1M loan fee for the season, another £9M if he makes the grade. If he doesn't prove himself or dislodge Cedric or Martina, we have only spent £1M. I'm not sure I want us to throw a huge fee at Arsenal now in the hope he is still the player he was.
  14. Matt Targett is already first team squad. The others are still not, so their future may lie elsewhere.
  15. So this story that Everton would offer him £6M a year (against our £2.5M offer) .... I shouldn't be concerned? Yes, I agree that Koeman will go on to Arsenal or Barca in 1 or 2 years. But this loadsamoney money offer from Everton may turn his head, no???
  16. What! I give you ....Kasey Keller. (Free) emergency loan signing, and was better than anyone on our books!
  17. ...his name is Theo, he is a Walcott.....
  18. Good shout! Does he qualify for England? Or Jamaica or someone? I genuinely don't know, but if he qualifies, good shout.
  19. We would all like that, of course. However, players have short careers and want to play at the highest level. I hope Koeman understands that it will be hard to retain players that are intent on leaving this summer. Coming 6th and playing in the Europa league is a step forward, but some players will say "I want to win silverware and play in the Champions League next season." If clubs can offer them that, we are going to have to hold them to their contracts then!
  20. I only wish Markus Leibherr had been around to see that the goal was achieved.
  21. I guess if we would offer a contract whereby he can give notice if a bigger club (eg Arsenal or Barcelona) came calling, then that would work on both sides.
  22. I can't see Koeman going to Everton. See out his contract with us, and take over at Arsenal after that. I keep saying it. Everton can pick from Benitez, Pellegrini, De Boer, and a host of others including their exes Brendan Rogers and David Moyes!!! I'm sure Brendan would love to go up against Liverpool with their neighbours.
  23. Seems the club management rate him very highly after an improved and extended contract. Let's hope he is a star at the U21 Tournament and we see where he can fit in better for us.
