  1. Why? Are you anti-Semitic? Why do have any hatred? Let it go. I don't mind who wins the Premier League, Chelsea or Tottenham. I would like the race to go to the last day of the season, and may the best team win.
  2. Seen a reasonably priced flight to Sardinia in August. Anyone been before and can appraise? I am googling about it, but customer feedback is king!
  3. Start with a dictionary, help you learn how to spell deficit.
  4. Because I don't hold hatred in my heart for Poch. Release the bile, it's better for your health. #dosomethingkind
  5. Speaking from a wound down car window, Redknapp commented on his appointment : "Triffic. Triffic club, triffic chairman. They are my spittual home."
  6. It's this (bolded) that I continue to comment on. We should play to our strengths, not hope to minimise the oppo's strength. Vainly hoping to hold on to the ball for fear the opposition will hurt us does not work out. It's like a boxer moving backwards around the ring constantly hoping the opponent will tire out. He won't, and you can't win like that. He who dares wins, Rodders, he who dares.
  7. So, after defeat against Man u today, will Chelsea take it out on us? Or will they get the jitters? Time will tell. Would be great to hold them to a draw and give Tottenham something to bite on. As well as add to our point total, of course.
  8. We took it to Man Utd at Wembley, toe to toe, slugging it out. We were brilliant. That's the way to play the big teams. Playing on the back foot, keeping it tight, hoping we get a break away - nah, look how that turns out. Go balls out Braveheart style!
  9. Very poor today. As you say, Puel seems to think playing for a nil nil by keeping possession for 90 mins is the way to play these. No desire to create chances for Gabbi to put away. Even so, when you are a goal down, taking off your main goal threat is daft. Boufal is too like Tadic, Davis too like JWP. Yes, we missed Romeu and obviously VVD to galvanise us. It was men against boys today.
  10. Moyes should be shackled to Sunderland for ever more. For better or for worse, in sickness and in health, a marriage made in heaven.
  11. Sunderland - Pickford. Last time we took the goalkeeper off a relegated Sunderland team, it looks madness....but he turned out to be quality. Happily do that again. Middlesborough - Traore. Swansea - a lot of them eg Cork, Siggo, Ki, Mawson, Llorente, Montero. On paper, they are too good to go down but I can't see them turning it around now.
  12. Sunderland and Boro for definite. Then .... I would have said Hull back in Feb, but now .... probably Swansea, sadly. Yeah, would be good if West Ham went down.
  13. I'm surprised the PFA haven't got involved. Mourinho's treatment of Shaw is bullying and harrassment legally. Surely there is a process they can invoke to either protect the player or restrain the manager? It's like Mourinho is allowed to beat him up every couple of days; we all shake our heads in disbelief yet it continues unabated. I know Jose is under stress with the magnitude of his job and being estranged from his family but publicly verbally assaulting a young employee is out of order and should be censured.
  14. Thanks for the rejoinder, CB. However, as I understand it, this Porsche has been in the bodyshop for the last year, so not available for previous Porsche buying/borrowing opportunities at all. Let's give it a test drive, and if it's not up to it, then we go back to our Focus after all. But let's test drive it as we are allegedly paying a large lease fee to have it sat on the forecourt.
  15. If a mate lent you his Porsche and said "you can drive it over the summer on a sale or return basis, but it's going up for sale in September" do I conclude some you would NOT drive it all because you weren't guaranteed to own it? You would rather drive round in a Ford Focus? Because I would drive the Porsche and see if I wanted to make him an offer. Think about it, guys.
  16. For those of you under 40, the OP is referencing the phrase of the 80s comedian Duncan Norvelle Duncan Norvelle (born 1958, Hoton, Loughborough, Leicestershire, England) is an English comedian in the variety tradition, who appeared on television from the early 1980s. He is probably most famous for his catch phrase "Chase me!", leading to his often being referred to as Duncan "Chase me" Norvelle.[1] His act was based on appearing to be a stereotypical camp homosexual, whereas Norvelle is heterosexual; he has three children
  17. I am older and I would welcome this with open arms! Been supporting it for years!
  18. Yes I agree with you. That is the way Puel sets us up. One out and out striker ("the old number 9") supplemented by 2 assistants to create (Redmond, Boufal, Tadic, Sims). He hasn't yet gone 4-4-2 and I'm not sure he will. Agree with Simo that Jay will likely be one to move on, so maybe that will open the way for Gallagher. But will he accept being a deputy? I hope he stays, but he may see playing regularly as preferable.
  19. Jay Rod has a good record vs Bournemouth this season - 2 goals! Do we play him again in the hope he can do it again? Or go with the logical conclusion that Shane has more chance of scoring in any other game?
  20. Similar link on BBC Gossip page, suggesting we will finally offer Liverpool the £20M they were asking, now he is deemed to have proven his fitness at palace. I think that ship has sailed. We could and should have offered £10-15M on deadline day. Liverpool would probably have taken it on that day.
  21. Hope he stays, but currently we have Gabby, Austin, JayRod and Shayno vying for one spot up front (when all fit, of course).
  22. Pregnancy breathing techniques, apparently, to help Seamus breathe through the shock of the injury and the pain. Good for you, Shane. Those classes with the missus came in useful here too.
  23. Juventus and Napoli are interested in signing Southampton's 28-year-old attacking midfielder Dusan Tadic, who has a release clause of £13m. Wouldn't sell for that. £20M+
  24. This thread is for Summer Transfer Targets, right. :?Where S.Davis plays, to DM or not to DM, take it elsewhere. When I see recent posts I think there must be useful notifications of linked players. Nah, just arguing about where Davis plays. Take it offline.
  25. Danbert's link explains why the deal for Carcares is only short term. Also this bizarre link : http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2017/03/20/report-southampton-could-be-offered-virgil-van-dijk-swap-deal-by/ Do like Ake, but not at the expense of Van Dijk.
