I received a text this morning saying Kevin Phillips is coming back to us, bet the bloke in the Carphone Warehouse will be delighted if that's true.

Earliest age to take a child to a football match?
Rogerfryisalegend replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
My eldest is 7 and has been a season ticket holder since he was 4, my youngest is 3 he started going when he was 2, he has a season ticket this year as well, only take them to the Saturday games, they both love it. I do have the advantage that my Brother and Dad also go with us, so plenty of people to keep them in check, I started them both off on a few cup games, they soon got hooked. -
I would be suprised by this, Nicola and his wife paid a big wedge for a house in Chilworth only a fortnight ago, not the actions of a man who was looking to leave.

I was watching a program on telly earlier, a soldier was talking about songs his regiment sang before going into battle in WW2, it got me thinking about this thread, I came up with this whilst singing in the shower. Onward, Southampton soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Markus going on before. Adkins, the royal Master, leads against the foe; Forward into battle see our Red stripes go! Red Army! Red Army! Red Army! Feel free to play with the words.

Franco Colomba was sacked by Bologna only a few hours before AP, Wally Downes and Stuart Murdoch were called to St Marys on Sunday night. pure speculation on my part, and I hope not as Colomba has crap record, but a few people seem to think it could be an Italian coach that is coming in.

Anyone know why Steve Coppell resigned from Bristol City and retired from management? just speculation on my part, but, maybe hes in the running for a role upstairs here, there were rumours in the past.

18 months ago we were close to having no club, trying to explain why to my seven year old son was almost impossible, then Markus appeared on his white horse, now i get to take both of my kids to see the Saints because of what he did, I cannot thank him enough for that, He did not even know the effect he had on me and my family, but it was a great one. I was never lucky enough to meet him, but when I was below him at wembley the look of happiness and excitement on his face was wonderful to see, He took a picture of me taking a picture of him, then followed it up with a thumbs up and a wave to me and my son, I will never forget that moment, Myself, my kids, and the rest of my family and friends that sit together each week cannot thank him enough, It would not of happend if it was not for him, thank you so much Markus, RIP big man, you will be missed. -
The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

From that reliable source Wikipedia..... Mahoto signed a 2-and-a-half-year contract with French club SC Bastia.[3] Yet more clearance issues seem to have appeared, with rumour that a clause in his contract upon leaving Le Havre meant he could not play competitively in France for the next three years. Suspicion has also been cast onto his release from Portsmouth - in which he may have forced through the transfer. Another theory is that administrative service at Portsmouth are poorly communicating with Bastia due to the club being put into administration. -
I like this, all we have to worry about is running out of shirts after selling (apparently) 13k while Pompey’s lawyers have just told the court if they lose the case that liquidation is a guaranteed outcome.

If you look at Puncheon it looks like it finishes at the shoulder.

I thought it was worn on diffrent sides depending on what side of the pitch you played on

We should be as grateful to Mary as we are to Ted, she was by his side for all those years, and worked at the club herself for many of them, both fantastic servants of the club, Thank you Mary.

Reply from David Luker re installment plan
Rogerfryisalegend replied to Huffton's topic in The Saints
Your right, thats how mine worked, came off my debit card each month, but on random dates, I think that was part of the issue, I was told that each month they had to manualy put through the transactions for each card as they did not have the system in place to automate it, which meant they were not taking the money off people cards on the agreed dates, which led to bounced payments, you would of thought in the twelve months since then they would of sorted that out.. -
Happy with the prices, dissapointed with the lack of payment plan, going struggle to pay for my 3 up front. might have to switch to tickets for each game.

Now you mention it, he did dress like a German.

James Beattie was apparently in the Orange Rooms on Saturday telling people that he was signing. Would give us a great front line, but it made me LOL when I was told, Stoke will want a decent fee for him, and his wage demands must be high. so can't see it myself. -
What improvements would you like to see
Rogerfryisalegend replied to ladysaint's topic in The Saints
Turbo Tap's at the bar, they pour a pint in 2 seconds. Real Cider, none of that Strongbow or Magners crap, Stowford Press or Thatchers Gold would be nice. Bigger screens at the bars. More Urinals, Bidets. -
I remember Merrington saying Adam was a Villa fan on air a while back, so I think you can write of the closet skate part.
