  2. Not the last straw, I'll always support Saints, haven't been a season ticket holder since the mid 80s, but like the last few years of Lowe's reign I shan't be giving this regime any of my money. I'm actually finding it hard to work up any enthusiasm for football in general, largely on account of the richer teams not only buying our best players but generally hoovering up most of the talent and then sticking it out on loan. I'm so disillusioned that for the first time since 1995 I don't think I'm going to even bother doing a fantasy team, the world will no doubt weep at its loss.

  4. He won't be competing with Gerrard and Henderson they play completely different positions. He'll be alternating/competing with Coutihno, Can, Markovic, Origi and Sterling for 2 places. I suppose he'll be hoping he can play in the big games but that's a lot of competition and he could end up just playing in the games against the likes of Sunderland, Palace and Leicester. Even though he's no longer a Saint I will follow his progress as I hope it goes belly up, might dissuade any other academy players from following him out the door and realising where their bread is buttered.
  5. I've been thinking the same thing. they already had Sterling and Coutihno, now they've added Origi and are also after Markovic, young Adam, not being blessed with pace is going to have to be tip top to keep his place, if he ever gets it.
  6. I reserve my judgement until I see what colour shorts we're wearing with it. Though I can't think of a colour that would work.
  7. I'd like to see a black banner with white text that reads 'Fans For Sale: Offers' maybe the club crest on it as well
  8. It's England, any WIFI service is going to be 'kin awful, run by Boingo and will probably cost you a fiver for 20 minutes. I don't know how Hong Kong and Seoul airports, among others, manage to provide unlimited high speed WIFI completely free for everyone.
  9. Looking at the size of him, I reckon he won't be on until the 80th minute. On another note, Ramsay is finished. Oh le Tiss comes on!
  10. Biggest laugh I've had in the last 2 weeks, cheers for the link.
  11. Pochettino is a wang kur, is a wang kur and sacked in the morning/winter/spring, will suffice for me.
  12. Le Tiss has a pretty poor game but still comes away with a hat-trick and the winning assist. Good ol' Tiss.
  13. That 'if' can be seen from space.
  14. About time Wenger brought on the halfwit, give him 20 minutes to point where he believes the ball should go, whinge at the ref, then get himself injured again.
  15. Lovely stuff, go on Hull!
  16. If there's a bigger **** in the world than Ray Houghton I hope to god I never have the misfortune to meet of listen to them. Oh and nice one Rickie.
  17. Not since the early 80s have I had such fun following Saints, I'd argue that if hang on to our youngsters this summer then things could be even better than that golden age. There are so many obvious highpoints, that I'll be frivolous and say the red sash kit, what a fantastic looking kit. I'd love us to wear it again, with our youth and style of football we'd be the dog's ********. Lowpoint, when Adkins got the boot, even though things kicked on with Pochettino, it just felt a bit treacherous, I though Adkins was a loyal and dignified manager and had already turned around the poor start, if Poch leaves us in the summer the Adkins sacking will be even more bitter as he would have left so that a promising young manager could use us as a stepping stone in his career, I honestly don't think Adkins would have left us even if the big boys came knocking.
  18. Cheaper and less annoying to order the stickers you need online with Panini, at least that's what I did for the 2006 one after I unwrapped my 8th Abdoulaye Meite of the Ivory Coast.
  19. Wow! What on earth must you make of Redknapp, Luggy, Merrington, Wigley, Pearson etc
  20. Man of the match against Everton, news coming through that Walker may miss World Cup http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/apr/30/jack-wilshere-roy-hodgson-england-world-cup Surely Clyne's a better option than Smalling or Jones as this article suggests. I'd love to see us have 3 or 4 players in Brazil, especially some young exciting ones, might even make watching England bearable.
  21. No, that'll be the one we should have been interested in, McCarthy. Callum McManaman has played 29 times for Wigan and scored 2 goals and 1 assist, not great for a 23 year old winger.
  22. Is this another one like Callum McManaman, who has one good game in a cup final and should be snapped up immediately. By the way what is that 'star of the future' doing now?
  23. Q.P.R or Blackpool
  24. I was surprised how quickly Puncheon was out of favour as soon as Pochettino got here, for me Puncheon had eaten humble pie, got on the bus and along with Rickie was in contention for our player of the season. I thought he injected pace and directness into our game, something we lacked when he stopped getting games until Rodriguez upped his game this season. Puncheon would be a great squad player now and could have slipped in for Rodriguez, instead we have Ramirez a player unsuited for Premier league football. Puncheon was sensational in that QPR away game, a game that really got our season going and gave us belief. Can't understand why he was ostracised by the management.
  25. That'll do Nig, that'll do.
