That makes two of us.

Does she want to travel, or work abroad? If working then BUNAC are worth looking at; I worked a couple of summers with them (a long time ago now!) in USA, teaching golf. They find the job, arrange flights and accommodation, and take a cut from the weekly payslip for it. Makes it all very simple and you end up working with people your age and looking to do the same sort of thing, so its instant friends to be around.

A forum champion has been toppled. It is a grey day for football forums when one of the leading lights is cut down in his prime by ridiculously over-zealous officialdom. I'm lighting a candle as I sit and mourn the sorrowful demise of SWF as it stumbles on without one of its prime protagonists.

It's all going off on fansonline, it's hilarious (yet completely predictable) stuff. It now turns out that a trust board member (he posts on there as the riddle) instigated an altercation with a fellow fan at a recent game, regarding some online comments the fan was supposed to have made. This is he same the riddle who went onto their message boards and tried to claim that Mick Williams might have resigned due to ill health and because his wife made him (which he was then forced to backtrack on instantly when Williams showed up to contradict him). http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=581764 Some rather choice comments towards the riddle: There's too many more to copy and paste, but it's a cracking read! Who'd have thought this could happen?!?!

This is this only way forward. Well, either that or extend St. Mary's to 48,000 and reduce prices so that we get all of the proper fans in the stadium. Those are the solutions to the problems. The club needs to act on it. Now.

Perhaps Jay Rodrigeuz for Harry Kane might have been a good swop.

How could Pochettino rate him? He didn't get there until the summer? You think he rocked in there, balls out, and said "nah, this lad is sh*t, get him out"? "well known that Poch didn't rate him". Yes, really well known, that one -

From what I heard he never "got away" in the first place, we enquired about him (after they enquired about JRod) but we were firmly knocked back. You can see why. -
I think today's game suggests nothing more than that a 32,500 stadium is the right size for us. Perhaps we should make a kop end instead?
-
We may have sold out a number of games but we won't be getting over the magic 32,000 figure any time soon, which we have done in previous years. Much like last season, when our highest attendance was 31,659. The capacity of St Mary's has seemingly been downgraded from the previous 32,689 to 32,505 (or 32,363 if you believe google). Chuck in crowd segregation, corporate areas not selling out and what not, the days of the 32K attendance at St. Mary's are gone.

Indeed. Akin to saying "we can't afford another league game". It's also the complete opposite of what the manager wants, so clearly simo knows better than Ronald Koeman> RK looked absolutely livid at full time. Each to their own, but simo displays all the traits of someone who is going to end up absolutely disappointed about everything he hopes for the football team. As far as I'm concerned it's a completely daft opinion, and he's welcome to it. Big opportunity missed. But at least we gave it a good go, so no complaints in that regard. Yoshi back may help us, I think we need an option to Pelle (especially with Long out and no imminent return for JRod).
-
A short-sighted view that I'll never get on board with. What an opportunity for a side to progress in this cup now. What a shame it isn't us.
-
Koeman hinted at bringing in a forward (in addition to Elia), and I think we need one, an out and out striker, if we are to maintain our form. Pelle has played every minute of every Premier League game, and has done it very well; but IMO at the very least we could do with an option that allows him a rest. At best, someone of a similar ilk but who will give us real options up front. I don't see either JRod or Long as being that type of player, they're much better as support forwards rather than leading the line. I don't think it will happen but I have fingers crossed. When Mane is back it gives us another option but I don't see that we have a direct replacement for the Italian Stallion *swoons*

Top ten: Alan Pardew Radhi Jaidi Rickie Lambert Jose Fonte Nigel Adkins Steven Davis Nathaniel Clyne Ronald Koeman Toby Alderweireld Graziano Pelle

Not only would that be unfair, then as far as I'm concerned it would be entirely ludicrous from a business point of view to tell a club that they can't sell 5,000 season tickets on the off chance that all clubs in the Premier League might want to bring 7000 or 8000 fans to an away game. I feel that if any club are willing to undergo the risk of spending a huge amount on a big stadium, the least they should expect is that they can be allowed to fill the vast majority of those seats with home fans only. If Saints ever extend the stadium then its only a good thing that we do not under any circumstances have to give up any of those seats to away fans. The 10% / 3000 rule works very well. It's telling how well it works, in that there is not a single dissenting club claiming it should change. All clubs recognise that it is the best solution. Which kind of makes this whole argument redundant, because the rule certainly isn't changing any time soon.

You dumbo, you should have taken them to a police sta...... Oh, good work Saint_Mabes!

There's been an online petition set up protesting the move, currently 5,000 signatures gained at one a second in the 90 minutes since it was set up.

Did you need to read that much? I managed to work out how much of a needy, look at me ***** he was after his first post.

Hang yourself Jeff, do it now. Make sure it hurts. Bear, you shut your furry face, yeah?

Jack Cork , when fit, is at the moment a much better option than Harrison Reed, much better. When Cork comes back he will be above Reed in the standings, and rightly so. Reed has done really well but it is exceptionally early days for him, and Cork has much more to his all round game, by quite some distance.

Well I have a dilemma. I took a self-imposed break in the summer and reverted to Reg User as I thought I was better off spending less time on here and getting drawn into needless arguments. As it turns out loads of you (5 of you) turned out in force and voted me 5th place in most sense talked. A truly baffling sense of achievement. I'm almost minded to pay my fiver and come back properly to p*ss the lot of you off again on a full time basis.

I fear Tim's approach will be met in a similar manner to this classic half time wedding proposal fail. The mascot offering support always cracks me up. Poor sod.

Ah thanks bud. Totes emosh.

Good afternoon Muppetry. My vote has been registered. Not sure how I even got a nomination for MVP, I've barely posted on here for months. Happy new year one and all.
