I’d guess if we could bring a striker in, Obafemi would be loaned out, leaving us with Ings, Long (and his new contract), Adams and New Str. However, bids could come in for Ings that could test our resolve, and I’d hazard a guess Championship clubs will be sniffing around Adams, as Leeds did in January. It could be interesting.

Hope he kicks on after his injury. I genuinely could not have told you what Radhi Jaidi was up to though! That was random!

I think I remember reading West Ham will, if they go down. Not sure about Villa but they'll surely be in trouble. Grealish and Mings would be their only real saleable assets too which is madness considering how much they spent. Average or not, I'd have Mings back here but the fee would be too high.

If we keep Djenepo, Boufal, Redmond and Armstrong as our attacking midfielders next season I think we can really push on towards Europe. Each one offers something different. However I'd hazard a guess that Boufal could be on his way, as he'd only have one year left on his contract and may not be entirely happy about spending large chunks of this season on the bench, just a hunch. However if he wants to stay, and we can get him to sign a new contract, I think we have a better foursome of attacking midfielders than a lot of other teams in the league. Then all we'd need is a striker, CM, CB and RB.

Bournemouth who I think are in real danger of going down, are on 26 points and relegation form is around a point a game. With 12 games left to play for them, that puts them on 38. A quick glance at some of the fixture lists though and you can see which teams are in trouble. If we had no games left to play, and we are on 34 points and the other teams had 11/12 games to play, I still wouldn't be confident of survival, but we will easily get the 4 or so points required and more.

I reckon Saints would ask £60 million, big clubs would probably be around the £35-£40 million mark, so around £50 million he'd go for, especially if he makes the England team this summer.

Villa pants but we did play well from the bits of stream I saw. A decent win that should see us safe and looking upwards again. Norwich, Bournemouth and Villa for relegation for me, though West Ham, Watford, Brighton and Newcastle are all really trying hard to be as crap as them.

Get the job done today Saints. Ings has yet to score so that’s encouraging. They still have weapons to annoy us though so we need to be careful. 34 points (and a 9 point gap from Villa) should be concentration enough for Saints players. I’ll make a prediction today - Adams will come on and score his first goal.

Liverpool are letting Lallana go in the summer on a free transfer. So simple question, would you have him back here? It’s a no from me. West Ham signing written all over him.

While not first choice at the start of the season and bar the odd game since when he’s been rested, Ings hasn’t missed a game through injury all season and looks fitter than ever. Yes his reputation for injuries is well known but it’s more likely we lose any other first XI than him currently, so that’s an odd feeling to have. Yes it sucks we’ve lost Redmond, not that his stats have been great this season but he’s important to the way we play, and yes it’s worrying we’ve seemingly also lost Boufal at the same time after a decent performance, but it would take a **** up of epic proportions even we would be surprised to achieve to get relegated. We have some favourable fixtures compared to teams below us for the rest of the season. A couple of key injuries have unnerved people but it’s time for the rest of the squad to stand up and be counted.

Just as I was leaving work, my colleague had put the game on his iPad, and as soon as I saw the corner I commented that the wind would take it in. If I know that, Ings should. However it was still freak and he’s been blameless this season otherwise. Boufal going off is a shame, I was listening to Talksport on the drive home and it sounded like he was having a cracker.
