We could probably sell 3 or 4 of our players for more than £25 million. We'd be hard pushed to find a player we own that costs £275k. Perhaps Kelvin or one of the youth. Even Mayuka would fetch more you'd think.

my god there is some chuff on that list! Without bein all Football Manager and signing players for squad padding, the names that initially stand out on that list for Saints are Vlaar (decent free even if knocking on a tad) Ings (obviously though I assume he's LFC bound) Flannagan (if fit) and possibly Richards and Guidetti from City. Cleverly had a decent season for Villa but he's not what we need. Oh, and that Artur Boruc would sort the keeping issues out. ;-) Do Saints do bargain basement anymore though? I bet 'Arry could knock up a full squad with those players...

If we can pull of those transfers, and keep Wanyama, then that side doesn't look too bad! A bit weaker than the current side but we should still be top 10 with that team.

The only Bosman keeper that stands out that I've seen is Gerhard Tremmel at Swansea. Perhaps the back up to the new no.1, while Forster gets fit?

Well this is a surprise. I just heard on TalkSport and was whooping in the car on the way home. If he returns as good as he was, this is a cracking bit of news, and it also could symbolise to Clyne etc that Saints is the place to be.

The teams I'd pick of the two, on paper at least, is: Forster Clyne Alderweirld Fonte Bertrand Morgan Wanyama Mane Lallana Rodriguez Lambert. So this year's back 5, and last year's front 3 but with Mané thrown in. If we lose Clyne, Alderweireld, Wanyama and Morgan in the summer, I fear for our league position next year.

Yep Spurs are as bad as us at the moment. Frustrating. Spurs fan at work reckons Spurs don't want Europa and are trying to miss it. I doubt that's entirely true but I bet they didn't factor us not getting another point...

Not confident today of anything. We're seemingly limping to the end of the season and Leicester are flying. A draw wouldn't be a bad result today. It's peculiar that just a few months ago we'd have thought that Sunderland, Leicester and Villa would be a guaranteed 9 points.
