Typical Saints this game, plenty of possession, some missed golden chances, but we'll still limp to a 2 nil win. Long and Morgan to score. Kelvin won't have much to do. No disrespect to Hull but our back 6 should keep them quiet, just hope the front 4 play well. I'd love us to do a Sunderland...

I want (I don't want but the wife has a gun to my head) the wonderful (they're not but I best say they are or she'll pull the trigger) Norwich City to win the Championship (actually she just said promoted but if I say 'win the Championship' she might at least tell the police where to find my dismembered body) as they're the greatest team to play on planet Earth bar none. (Actually bar Saints, but she's still looking edgy.) (She's gone, I think I got away with it.) I'd also like Derby to come up and Bournemouth. The teams I do think will get promoted are Norwich (seriously), Middlesborough and Watford. I care less about the teams going down, but I'd like to see Burnley stay up. Leicester, QPR and Sunderland to go down, though I do think Burnley will take the last slot.

I'd love Koeman to get a third but IMO it's nailed on for van Gaal. All victories and against near rivals in the league too. Sherwood has revived Villa, but a convincing win against a crap Sunderland isn't enough, I reckon.

Barteand? Does he moonlight at Wetherspoons? ;-) I'm glad he's been called up because he deserves it but the way Hodgson has done it by leaving him out the original squad smacks a bit of desperation. Maybe we're biased as Saints fans but he's been consistently one of the best left backs this season, certainly more so than Baines, at a pinch Rose, and probably even Gibbs who has to compete for his team place with Monreal.

A lengthy but non-career threatening and non-too-painful injury to Sterling, Kane, Henderson, Mason, Townsend and other Spurs or Liverpool players I haven't mentioned in this international break would be OK to our chances too.

It's probably a question of whether we got automatic Champions League or had to go via the qualifiers. If Morgan's aim really is to play in the CL, risking staying and potentially us going out in the qualifiers and ending up in the Europa may not be what he's looking for. Then he'd be cup tied for any other club. Not that I think we have a chance of CL any more. 5th is the highest we can hope for IMO and I still think we'll end up 7th. Which is ok.
