  1. Thats good for us too we've been linked with Neil Taylor. Surely that sale would out an end to that. I'd rather have Cresswell. I hope we make our first signing tomorrow, whoever it is. It's my last day off of the week!
  2. Roy Hodgson, aka Woy by some parties, does not require a season ticket to visit St Mary's, nor any other ground. His attendance is provided by the Football Association, although largely it is he that decides which games to attend. A season ticket at St Mary's would provide poor value for Roy, principally because he doesn't attend enough games there, but also because he doesn't need one. Additionally he could end up sitting next to weirdos in the normal stands. That's my MLG answer. :-)
  3. I read it wrong. I thought it was Lallana that lacked grace. Club was bang on.
  4. I had an 'insurance bet' on Carlisle to beat Saints in the JPT final. It was a fair bit of money iirc which would have been a consolation prize had we lost. I far preferred the outcome!
  5. Sell Suarez please Liverpool. That'll be lols. Lallana was the one jewel I didn't want us to sell because he was our creative outlet, but now we have, for that money, I'm fairly happy. He must be replaced correctly though, as must they all.
  6. I'll be nicking that for Facebook!
  7. Big teams get richer and the small teams suffer. I posted this last year, I wonder if people's views have changed. Had we finished 4th, I'd expect our big players would still be here. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?45072-FA-Cup-or-4th-place#.U7Fjxye9KSM
  8. I want Jake Hallett to make it for no other reason than he shares a surname with a mate of mine!
  9. All the qualities of a Rudi Skacel or Jim Brennan then. Sounds promising. I know nothing of Tadic, but the stats look good and people are positive about him on here. Without looking I'm sure he's also good in Football Manager. For that reason, I'm on board! Seriously though, replacing Lallana will be no easy feat. If he comes here and does as well, if not better than Lallana, it will be an outstanding bit of business. I'm assuming he's not another Steve De Ridder....
  10. And 'the most unsurprising player destination of the summer' award goes to... Haven't Arsenal been interested in Morgan for years?
  11. I like the sound of £160 million to spend. Boruc Chambers Fonte Yoshida Clyne Wanyama Cork JWP Messi JRod Neymar. Get it done Saints!

    Post a picture...

    Goodbye kids.
  13. Would happy with this signing, not ecstatic, more hopeful, but certainly happy. Assuming we also get Pelle, we're back to a decent compliment of strikers. Will we see another on top of them as JRod remains injured for half a season? It'd be nice. Depends on what we do with Osvaldo and Mayuka I suppose.
  14. Much more gutted about Lallana than Shaw leaving. Good money for both though.
  15. I thought this months was apt planning, Morgan and Gaston still both in the World Cup!
  16. :-D I refuse to accept that until the transfer window closes!
  17. If we keep the spine of the team of 'wantaways', that's Morgan, Dejan and Lallana, it will have been an amazing summer. However it's hard to see that happening. I can see up to 7 leaving us, although that includes Osvaldo and Ramirez. It's all speculation though it doesn't bear thinking about!
  18. We needed a CB, GK, AM and Str already. So 4. An educated guess has it that Shaw, Morgan, Lallana, Lambert and Osvaldo will be gone by the end of the transfer window. So 9, could even be 10+ depending on the futures of Chambers, Lovren, Ramirez et al. That's a hell of a lot of players to bring in, let alone gel before the season begins. I can see us relying heavily on the academy this season, as I don't think we'll bring in more than 5 or 6 personally. It's really a make or break season. Koeman has a hell of a job on his hands and he has my respect for it. Come the January transfer window, at least we'll know where we lack personnel. As long as it's not too late by then.
  19. Lads, Cortese has left so we can't go down the route of 'horses head in your beds', but if you speak up about leaving, I'll arrange it so that you'll find Anne Widdecombe there instead.
  20. Still a good side that French side. I want them to win the tournament for no other reason than I have them in the work sweepstake. Boom!
  21. Since appointing Van Gaal their manager, I didn't think they'd have as much interest in Luke as they did. I guess we'll see if he's watching the England game tonight.
  22. Oh I get it - pitch black! Arf. Also it stops us seeing which players have left us. Clever. Now we just need to avoid kick offs before 8pm.
  23. Relatively paltry sum was 4 times what we paid for him, he's now 32 and provided us with the goals and play required to guide us to two promotions, and seemed to get better with each new level he plays at. I don't begrudge Lambert his move at all, I wish him all the best and thank him for what he did for us. My initial gripe when the transfer was announced was that it could have been delayed until after the WC but to no avail. As for Pochettino? Meh. I look forward to the new chapter, win or lose.
  24. Brazil nicked the the matchday fred nuns.....
