  1. Ups and downs but overly positive. It started well with draws against Arsenal and Chelsea and a Villa victory, but then things were turned on their head by the sacking of Adkins. Harsh though that decision was at the time, right now it appears to be justified. Under Pochettino the style of play changed, and we scored a few big victories against the big boys, but finished the season scraping draws. This season started well but has recently taken a down turn, but all in all, by smashing our transfer records in the summer and bringing through the next batch of youth, the future is very positive. I'm confident and happy about where this club is going, and the way it is doing it, so long may it continue.
  2. I'm going to take the money I won from betting on a Spurs win and use it to buy a serrated blade to slit my wrists with. :-) Things MUST change at Cardiff. (Please!)
  3. Looks like you've got a little bit of wear on the lunula, and perhaps that stems from the root below, as per B) and C) in this diagram: Now, topologically speaking, nails grow and sometimes you get a nasty little bit of extra skin on the cuticle which can turn into a hangnail. Nasty business. Try Sally Hansen's Cuticle care, only £7.40 from Boots. It really works. Here's some information on how to care for your cuticles.: http://www.ehow.com/how_2191450_care-cuticles.html :-D (I have no idea what any of that meant. Disclaimer: Use of medical products recommended by non-medical people can prove fatal.)
  4. Is four or more points from our next two games unlikely? I can actually see us beating both Spurs and Cardiff but at the same time our form hasn't been great of late and we still have the injury problems. A win tomorrow would be huge, not because we'd go above Spurs (though that would be some achievement) but because it would keep us within touching distance of the top 6. Draw or lose and we could enter a mid-table fracas between us, Swansea and (surprisingly) Stoke. SNSUN Predictions: I think a draw is most likely; Conditions won't favour good football so it'll probably be scrappy game. Gazzaniga will be man of the match (because most of the shots he'd normally miss will be blown into his hands by the wind) and Pochettino will do his first post-match interview in English, because his interpreter has fallen ill.
  5. I'm way more qualified than Vugar Huseynzade, I was playing Championship Manager right back to its first incarnation. :-D
  6. You're welcome. :-D I looked for a picture of the Suited and Booted book but that pic came up instead so I went for that instead to illustrate my post! ;-) Is this the last Hagiologist book BTW?
  7. This was the last book similar to the new one and it was brilliant. I've read it cover to cover many times and even now will still flick through it when I hear of a deceased former player or something of that ilk. It's "the bible" for any Saints fan, as I suspect the new one will be. I also want to get Suited and Booted, to learn more about the Saints pre-war. Some serious hinting required to get the wife to submit...
  8. I want it. I won't get it. I don't have any Saints fans in my family. But I will get Christmas money, so I'll blow it on that instead. In fact, next Christmas I might buy everyone in my family a copy, to teach them all about the wonder that is SFC's history. (...and that includes my Norwich-supporting wife. :-) )

    Not that it will

I believe player-managers are most effective as they can lead by example on the pitch. So... Messi. :-D
  10. I agree. My sister is a massive ****. I said 'is', not 'has'...
  11. Oh my God, that's £250 I'll never see again. I guess the kids will have to go without Christmas this year...
  12. I'm going to put £250 on a Spurs win. That way I'll be happy if Saints win and get 3 points, or I'll be compensated financially for a Spurs win. There's no way I can lose...... :-D
  13. Bloody hell. I know some of those buildings are old but you don't expect that. Just like you don't expect a helicopter landing on your head. Terrible news. (While this isn't a time for jokes, I'm sure "bringing the house down" will be mentioned a lot on Twitter tonight...)
  14. Are we Anglicising foreign names now? Because if so, Jean-Claude Van Damme becomes John-Claud Transit Bugger. :-D (This is untrue.)
  15. ...but if you mess with Mr Mallett, you'll get a hammer to the face.
  16. Madness. Mackay is a good manager who was doing a good job, but clearly the nutter Tan is expecting more for the money they spent. Cardiff fans would be right to protest this. I think Malky would be a perfect fit for Norwich, with the history he has and the fact that Hughton is riding a fine line, but the WBA job is free and it's as good a job as any in the Premier League in terms of expectation. I bet Swansea fans are most amused by the goings on at Cardiff this season.
  17. Click the right mouse button over the picture, click on "copy URL", (or go into properties to find the URL) then on this site where you post messages, click on the little icon that looks like it has a tree on it, then paste the URL into that. Well that's how I do it anyway.
  18. I want to complain about my wife buying Plenty kitchen roll instead of Cushelle kitchen roll. Granted, the Plenty holds the sperm better, but it's too rough - the Cushelle was softer on my willy tip. I can't complain about it to her face though.
  19. Would be OK in the league, but in the cup? Useless over two legs. :-D Liable to give a limp performance. :-D Serious note: McCarthy is a good shout IMO.
  20. Cortese is the last person you want to demand more money from! There are other options out there, much as Cesar and Boruc would be a great combination to fight it out for a first team place.
  21. Of the three, my money would be on Lallana getting there, but I won't rule out Rickie if he has a storming second half of the season. Are we completely ruling Shaw out? Surely England is an injury or two away from seeing him get a call up? Who are his competitors, Baines, Cole and Gibbs? Rose?
  22. If we lost Pochettino somehow, the first person I'd be hoping we're linked with as manager is Laudrup. Would he be big enough for Spurs? Hoddle would be a mistake for them. I think they need someone really experienced in there, like Guus Hiddink.
  23. Damn, new manager syndrome. :-(
  24. Good chance to go above them in the table next Sunday. :-) Although I had 9th as my Christmas league table prediction for us, I'll happily take 8th instead!
