  1. Incidentally Mikey, while she's kinda cute, she has terrible verbal diarrhoea. I watched half of her Legoland video before my ears started bleeding and wished I could shove my knob in her mouth to stop her talking. :-)
  2. Haha! Massive lols SuperMikey - a moment you will never get back and the picture didn't work! (Hint - ask mods to delete a thread with some of your posts on - that will knock you back to the 7990's, and you can post this again, more successfully.)
  3. It's a miracle -Alex Ostlund, aka Jesus, looking over the Pope's right shoulder! :-D
  4. I've tried pot before years ago - the first time I got really paranoid and ran away from a house party despite not knowing where I was, the second two times I just fell asleep. The Underground has a drugs and alcohol policy so obviously can't touch the stuff, but I wouldn't if I could, it stinks. I hate it when people brazenly smoke the stuff in public - especially worse for me as if any trace of it gets into my system on a day when I get tested, I could lose my job. Unfortunately for the OP, there's not a lot you can do I believe as it's their private property. Obviously you could report them, but I doubt anything would happen. Respond in kind somehow - maybe set a sprinkler on in the back garden that "accidentally" goes over their fence. If they call the police, I'm sure you'll have more of a leg to stand on than them! Or go all "Hot Fuzz" on them, with loads of guns and carnage. (That's my Muppet Show answer)
  5. As some people have said since his inclusion in this week's squad, Lambert wouldn't be in it if Carroll and Sturridge had been fit. Add to that there may be an unexpected English striker that makes a better impact next season (Hooper or Agbonlahor potentially fit this bill) and realistically Lambert would need the luck of a few English injuries to get a call up to the finals squad. If we make it of course. Sadly I can't see it - otherwise everything the OP says is pretty much spot on.
  6. A SWF Harlem Shake.
  7. To answer your original question Mikey, I think you should celebrate with a 24 hour w@nkathon. The second you burst forth your fluids, you may only rest for 2 minutes, and then start again. This must continue for 24 hours. No pornography is allowed though, you may only use the photo of the gun-toting Alpine above, or any of the pictures on the http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?45765-Bearsy-s-STD-trip-to-Ibiza-2013-your-photos#.UgpEt5KyDpc thread.
  8. Newcastle can't sign a striker for love nor money! I think Everton have a good player on their hands though...
  9. If it pays any less than £50k a year, I'm out.
  10. Definitely. I couldn't give two craps about England friendlies, and only patriotically support them in qualifiers and tournaments, but Rickie being called up has given me reason to watch tomorrow night, and thankfully I'm not working so can watch it. I'm a Saints fan first and foremost, and a distant England fan after that.
  11. Downing CHDAJFU but is not better than what we have - possibly slightly better than Puncheon but only marginally, certainly not our policy of signing much better players than we already have. I'm in no way jealous that he went to West Ham, and certainly am not jealous of Chamakh going to Palace, who's shown very little in this country to prove he's worth it. I do think he'll get a few for Palace though, without the weight of expectation on his shoulders. Bony would have been a good signing for us if we're going on reasonable signings (meaning not someone ridiculous like Navas or Fernandinho) but if we go ahead and sign a top striker like Osvaldo, I bet there are few on here that would swap him for any other striker signing in the Premier League.
  12. Congratulations SuperMikey! As a "well done present", I present to you a picture which you may cherish for all time.
  13. Jelle Vossen has been linked with a £7 million move from Genk to Newcastle. Would be a good signing for us IMO, he's a first rate goalscorer at that level, a good age at 24, a Belgian International and at £7 million a reasonably good value and low risk purchase.
  14. Nasty. Get well soon Rudi. (Steers clear of the "Well I guess that's the end of our chances of signing him" joke...)
  15. I don't rate Fox in the Premier League but it's not like we're starting with 10 men! He'll do a job there temporarily. Granted he may cost us a goal or 2 in defensive lapses (or being beaten by better players), but hopefully he'll contribute with a decent set piece or two too.
  16. Q1: What were your opinions of your first season back in the Premier League? A giant learning curve but ultimately satisfied with where we finished. We knew before the season started that we had a first XI to potentially avoid relegation, but to pick up some impressive wins on the way and finish points clear in a reasonable position was satisfying. Q2: What are your expectations for the upcoming season? Of course we all hope for more this season! Resting on our laurels and hoping for a similar position would be silly, and could even see us slip into trouble - this season I'm looking for a top half finish (or better!), a lovely cup run would be a nice bonus too. Q3: What are you expecting from West Brom this season? 6 points for Saints! Seriously a season like yours last season was something all Baggies must have been so proud of, but it's also very hard to repeat without the resources. I've done a preliminary League table (which usually I'm loathe to do until the transfer window shuts) and I have WBA as finishing lower in the table. Sorry! No Lukaku will be tough for you, and the signing of Anelka will either be inspired or downright stupid. Is he past it? We wait and see! Q4: Happy with the clubs transfer business so far? Yes. We've brought in a solid centre back that we needed last season in Dejan Lovren, and a powerhouse midfielder in Victor Wanyama. Defensively (which is what we struggled with at the start of last season) we look a lot stronger this season with these signings. Our biggest concern is that it's only these two, and we're still light in other areas. Q5: What other positions need adding to before the close of the transfer window? A striker, which will probably be a unanimous shout amongst Saints fans. Excluding Rickie Lambert who did so well in his first Premier League season and deserved his call up to England the other day, we only have Jay Rodriguez (who tends to play deeper in an attacking midfield role anyway) and an unproven Emmanuel Mayuka, who has yet to show in his few appearances that he can play up front on his own regularly. So we definitely need a striker brought in, although I think the club will get it done by September 2nd. We could also argue we're another centre back light, a goalkeeper light, a left back light, a right back light, an attacking midfielder light and even a fifth striker light, but to be honest we're a club that only signs players if they're better than what we already have, and if we went out and signed all those, not only would it cost a fortune but we'd have an unhappy squad! (I personally think we need another creative midfielder though...) Q6: Favourite memories of games against West Brom? None really, I've never managed to get to a West Brom game against Saints. Not many memories either, although I vaguely remember Stern John score against you a few years ago in the Championship. Q7: Worst memories of games against West Brom? Pffffff, probably Odemwingie tearing us a new one last season in our own back yard. Q8: The previous game between the sides finished 0-3. What were your opinions on this game? Just that your class showed. You were clearly a level above us last season, as both results show - but we're more experienced and stronger this season! We won't lie down so easily! Q9: And finally, score predictions I'd be happy with a draw from this game. We're a well built outfit but sometimes lack creativity and finishing, although under Pochettino we tend to fight for every ball high up the pitch. A draw would be an improvement on last season's results, and it would be a reasonable first game of the season result too. I'll plump for WBA 1 - Southampton 1.
  17. The Lounge for sure. I can bash one out over pictures of fittys I used to know on Facebook.
  18. Nothing particularly strange, but some years ago before I discovered Facebook, I kept in touch with a friend using email after he'd moved away from my area permanently. We were quite close and many a night used to go out drinking, so when he moved away it was like the end of an era. So we kept in touch regularly with emails, just updating each other on each others' going's on. Then one time he went quiet for months, which was most weird, but I had a busy life so didn't think much about it. Perhaps 3 and a half months after he went quiet, I emailed him to scold him for going quiet and to let me know he wasn't in any trouble or anything. As I wrote that email, and subsequently sent it, sitting in my inbox, freshly sent seconds before, was an email from him apologising for not emailing me. Coincidence really, but when we're talking months of silence, to both email each other at that exact moment in time was strange.
  19. Boruc Chambers Dejan Jos Fox Morgan Wanyama Lallana Guly JRod Lambert So basically the team that's already been mentioned. Judging from last season I think Pochettino prefers Jos to Yoshida in the other centre back spot. I disagree with the OP's bench though - only Chambers as a sub defensively? Even if that team is correct (which it won't be) one of Fonte or Jos would be on the bench. Looking forward to this - although unlike last season when we had pretty much nothing to lose (and a hard start), I'm rather more apprehensive about this season. Sign a striker by September 2nd (and even a bonus creative midfielder) and I'd be a lot less nervous.
  20. Sometimes people rent out parking spaces in cities for less than other parking would be. Found this for you: http://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/parking-in-london-road-southampton/SO152PX-48677 £5 to park there, not sure if that helps.
  21. Cardiff smash their transfer record AGAIN this summer for a Chilean International midfielder nicknamed 'Pitbull' from Sevilla. £11million. They may have missed out on a few players, but they've still managed to strengthen their spine. Mind you I've only seen Caulker play, the other two could be expensive flops...
  22. Striker obviously a priority. Attacking, creative midfielder would be a massive bonus. IMO we're a CB light too but that would only be added upon if a top notch CB became available, as the "cover" we have is fine. We were rumoured to be looking for a right back in the early summer too - I'm assuming Chambers has shown enough to show he can cope with the pressures of Premier League football. That, or Cork will be seeing some right back action. Two more signings would be an ideal summer IMO - striker and creative midfielder.
  23. Southampton FC ‏@SouthamptonFC34m #SaintsFC Academy duo Matt Targett and Jake Flannigan signed professional deals earlier today: http://sfcne.ws/15nx7MY pic.twitter.com/7feut7VAg3 Signed. Good for both of them.
  24. Eterna watch for him, good stuff.
