  1. My mummy calls me all kinds of lovely names.
  2. I collect stamps, the rarer the better, although they have to pass my high standards. The other day I was given some American stamp with a biplane printed upside down. What good is that to anyone? Threw it away.
  3. Bart's our number 2, and he will continue to be our number 2 until a replacement is brought in. He was shocking today, but that's not to say he'll never play again - if Kelvin doesn't play next week, Bart will - it's just our bottom holes that may suffer. Who knows - he might get MOTM.
  4. Don't be blinkered by his iffy performances of late, our best, most important player is Lallana. Everyone has bad form, he's having his at the moment, but when he comes good again he will be the best player in this league. AS important as Lambert IMO, but Lambert is replaceable (as much as I hate to say it, but he is) - Lallana is one of a kind. Incidentally I also love Chaplow, and have done since he was on loan here. He's raised his game this season before he got injured, and we forget he's only just approaching 27 - his peak as a footballer. Getting him fit could play a big part in winning us promotion.
  5. It's between Morgan, Lambert and Fonte in my mind, Fonte seems to be a midfielder trapped in a defender's body, such are his skills on the ball, but he was solid, Lambert's passing was good and he scored twice, and Morgan had an all round great game. Lambert gets it though, for that equaliser alone, when I thought we'd lost. He really is a goal scoring machine.
  6. Harding far better when he came on. Earned a starting spot next week, although if I were going to mix up the starting XI a bit, perhaps Fox to slot in LM with Lallana switching to the right.
  7. Ask me again on February 1st.
  8. Well, it's a game of opinions, and I thought Lallana had quite a good game. Ok, he's not the Lallana that started the season, and by his and our own standards this was an average performance for him, but I still thought he showed flashes of himself, and by and large did work hard. At one point he berated Fox for not playing the simple pass to him. He'll come good, hopefully next week. Harding was far better than Fox when he came on. A good cameo from Dan, and I hope it's won him his place next week. Morgan was class today I thought. I' m not his biggest fan but I was impressed. Hammond did little, Cork was ok, Hammond needs to make way next week IMO, perhaps to give Holmes a chance on the left. All in all we did play well, and should have won, were it not for Bart muffing it up. Blackpool weren't all that, although they have the makings of a good team. It's clear that we're missing Chaplow and Connolly, but it's useful that it's highlighted our weak squad before the window. Oh, and thanks to today's results and barring a freak result in the Wham game next Saturday, Saints fans can sing "Top of the League" to the Pompey fans next week.
  9. Never cheered so loudly for a Saints goal, even my missus was screaming at our second! Cold day but that warmed me up. Bart couldn't catch Gonnorhea in a pompey brothel.
  10. Harding back up keeper imo. He's taller than people think!
  11. Beat Blackpool. Beating Pompey is a given anyway.
  12. Gonna lose? Then do a bet, double chance, on Blackpool and the draw. Financially compensated if we lose or draw.£1000 should be a minimum bet, if you're that concerned we'll crash and burn today.
  13. Man U's new fragrance in the shops: Channel No.5. (Yes you've probably heard them all already...)
  14. Me and the missus will be at this one, my second game of the season. Looking forward to it, win please!
  15. I've literally only got into eBay these last two weeks, and already bought 7 things, I'm hooked! (Took me long enough...) But I hadn't thought about asking sellers whether they'd sell an item after the auction is over. It's a good idea, if they have something they want rid, and it's something I want - but is it common practise or being a bit cheeky?
  16. We score a poo result, and thankfully West Ham also pull out a poo result. We must keep up the home form though. Lambert and Chaplow being out, arguably our two best players this season, show the fragility of the squad attacking-wise, but we should still hope the players fielded do their bit too. I'm not too disheartened, surprisingly as we lost to the bottom side at the start of the day, but it does highlight the need to sign a striker in the January window. Guly is a good player, but is better playing off a striker, something we lacked in the starting XI. De Ridder will come good, but needs time. Get December over with as many points as we can achieve, and let's see what we can conjure up in the window. We'll relinquish top eventually, but I hope we can keep an auto spot for ourselves for as long as possible. (I thought Bristol City were going to do us a favour today, but hey ho.)
  17. Beattie? No thanks. Adkins should've heeded my advice in January, and signed a less well known, cheaper Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield. We'll regret that one. Blips will come along, I have no doubt Adkins is looking for a striker in the January window.
  18. All right chaps, have I missed anything? Oh.
  19. Group B will make good viewing for neutrals. May still need a TV at our reception....
  20. Yessssssssssss! Not in Group B! I bloody love Van Basten! Fairly easy group for England.
  21. Group C please!
  22. Whatever happened to pulling a ball out of a bag! Stupid idea.
  23. I think, I think, it's about to happen after the Gary Speed tribute.
  24. You nailed it with the Eurovision comment Johnny! Bloody awful, and what is up with the singer's hair? Or voice!?
  25. As per the Beeb, yes.
