  1. The nicest thing for me about the change from MP to RK was his personal affability and openness. MP had the language excuse and wasn't hugely open. Pearson is too abrasive for me, even if he was the best candidate available.
  2. This puts a bit of a different slant on it...http://www.insidefutbol.com/2016/04/26/i-have-to-spurs-boss-mauricio-pochettino-reveals-why-he-must-watch-ligue-1-games/282853/
  3. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/664684/Tottenham-Mauricio-Pochettino-Premier-League-Paris-Saint-Germain I know it's the Express, but it would be funny.
  4. Ah bless. How sweet that they get all excited by a bit of joke promotion. As for the Dave Jones chap who thinks Notarf sells out every week, they haven't had a sell out all season (albeit pretty decent crowds most games) which is a surprise given their bestest status. In fact they haven't had a crowd of over 20k since playing Leeds in January 2011 (19879 vs us in Dec 2011), and I don't think that they have sold out since October 2009 vs Spurs.
  5. And how does he know what the board are deciding? I'd love it if he did go there.
  6. **** off Levy you knob
  7. hahahahaha. Would be funny if we did them and Spuds finished 3rd. Not sure they can finish 4th as City and Arse play each other.
  8. What did Rose do?
  9. 5 minutes??
  10. Alli should have been sent off, but might get retrospective ban for this punch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwodHugCf3s
  11. Funny old game. 1st half all Spuds, but now they seem so unsure of themselves.
  12. 90th min+ winner for Spuds??
  13. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
  14. Can't see any other result than a Spuds win. (hope that is the kiss of death but I doubt it)
  15. I was there on the sides, with Saints to my left. Great view of the pitch invasion.
  16. nta - agree with what you say and posted the same earlier this week on another thread. The top 6 has a depressing familiarity (presuming Liverpool win their game in hand and move above Wet Spam) about it save for Leicester/Chelsea, albeit the Leicester bit is pretty "big". Spurs - no one would really be surprised if they finished 3rd or 4th, so they are only a couple of places higher than what they might expect in a good season.
  17. And another: http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/663552/Aston-Villa-Jores-Okore-Premier-League-Eric-Black-Relegation-Championship-Gossip-News
  18. If Man Utd really wanted to, then Spurs would have no chance keeping up with them. From your Forbes bit Man Utd Revenue @ $703m Operating Income @ $211m Spurs Revenue @ $293m Operating Income @ $63m Add $100-150, to both clubs, and Man Utd are still much much bigger. That's not to say that Spurs are in any way a small team. As I said they are a big team, but it's just the case that in England there are a few big teams bigger than them. 6 in the top 13. Spain has 2 in the top 13, Germany has 2, Italy has 2 and France have PSG. Adding $100-150m to Spurs will certainly move them up the table against others in the Forbes list, but not against Man Utd or the other 4 English clubs.
  19. As manager, isn't our away form his responsibility?
  20. This summer there might be an opening. Next summer there might not be. You hang around and pass up opportunities, and opportunities will pass you by. If Man Utd don't get in CL this season it costs them something like £40-50m. If they don't next season it will be the same. They might not be able to afford that, so might be prepared to lavish money on MP.
  21. Absolutely they are regulars. In the past ten seasons 05/06 > 14/15 they have qualified for Europa League 8 times, the Champions League once and failed to qualify for Europe once. That's pretty regular to me.
  22. "For men may come and men may go, but I go on for ever."
  23. Spurs have done really well this season, might actually win it. A new stadium is on the horizon. But Spurs are Spurs and Man Utd are Man Utd. If you can't see why, then a trip to Specsavers is needed People say it is a topsy turvy season, but is it? Finishing positions are likely to be LCFC, THFC, AFC/MCFC, MUFC/LFC, WHU, SFC. So of course you have the freak of Leicester, Spurs doing better than usual and Chelsea being absent. But the top 6 has a depressing familiarity about it (obv as mentioned Leicester/Chelsea). It will no doubt be back to normal next season. That means that the them and us status quo will be restored. The them and us. We will be (hopefully) fighting at the top of the "us" trying to bridge the gap to the "thems" and emulate LCFC. Spurs will be back in the "them" pond of big boys (or rather the big boys will be back in the pond), and while they think that they are big, they are the smallest of the big boys. They don't like to think that they are, but they have always been delusional. In fact, given their new stadium WHU might be joining Spurs sat the bottom of the "them" pond. Man Utd are the apex predator. Forget the LvG/Moyes time, as that is not representative. Look around Europe at the big clubs. Bayern, Real, Barca, Man Utd and that (subjectively) is that. The next tier is Dortmund, Juve, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, PSG, Atletico, Milan etc etc and then below that are the likes of Spurs. So why move? Because Man Utd is a much much bigger club than Spurs. Always has, always will be.
  24. Not sure why Chelsea aren't blooding some of their youngsters in these remaining games.
  25. apart from Imbula and Adam.
