  1. Let's not create a problem where there isn't one. Yes, we are not in good shape on field or off it, but we have announced our best financial results for some time, which is no surprise as that was the strategy since (and why) Nicki left (or was fired if you prefer). The purchase by Gao is still via a personal loan and has not changed since day one of his acquisition. Clearly (same as Kat) he will look to recover this in time and then some no doubt. The Macquaire loan is a completely separate issue and one we have adopted for the last 2 to 3 years, whereby we borrow the full amount of TV fees (and only the TV fees) upfront on the basis of a mortgage if you like - we know the money will come over the next X months (typically 12) in installments, but we want the cash flow now, so Mr. Banky give us the dough now and we will pay you back with interest with the TV money - think of it as mortgage protection insurance that has your lender as the interested party (i.e. get's first dibs) in the event you default/decease. Nothing new here IMHO. What's more interesting, is why is the Echo trying to down play the healthy profit we have made, prior to the VVDick sale??
  2. Wonder if we could get Tuchel until end of season - yes speculation was he turned us down in the summer but he might do it short term for big bucks? Or failing that Silva - short or long term.
  3. No! I have however "half supported" Woking and Bray (in Ireland) by virtue of living/have lived there and watching them a few times.
  4. Agree, but will not happen. MP needs to be put out of his misery but Les is a spineless "you know what" and so it appears is the new owner - what the f**k is he getting from his silent investment ???
  5. Know what you mean - I care about our club, always have, always will, but I absolutely don't care about our manager, board (or bored), owner and most of the players. If relegation results in them leaving our club, hopefully with a financial loss (although I very much doubt it) than that's the least they deserve and hopefully we will come back stronger and sooner rather than later. Not sure how much longer I can go through the week hoping each day that we will come good, and then same 'ol same 'ol each game, and like a bear with a sore head for the rest of the weekend! It's the hope that kills you - but there is more to life and family and friends deserve my time right now than the showers running our club. I am done going to games and watching until we make a change - will follow results but that's about it. Starting to think that scrapping through this season will actually harm us more, as Les and co. will get even more arrogant and we'll go through even worse next season if that is possible? Simply cannot stand a bunch of muppets that have made me feel this way about a club I love any longer. Darkest time in my 45 years of support - really is - in previous bad spells we at least tried, or had no resources (money, talented players etc.), but this time round no one seems to give a flying fig??? Oh and the new owner can just F off - certainly is taking us to a new level! Just wish I had £200M to flush down the toilet - maybe I wouldn't be so p*ssed off then. Rant over - fair play to those that can still put up with this trash!

We have to be positive from the start http://bit.ly/2FclQOs #saintsfc Just how on earth can our clown say this (posted on Echo twitter)?? Maybe by starting two forwards and not being afraid to try and win a game for a change?? As I have said before - he is the not the biggest culprit - Reed is, but MP is clearly out of his depth and not learning anything whatsoever. Just watched "The Darkest Hour" - now that is the sort of grit we need - not some namby pamby excuse to lie down and die. Unfortunately we do not have anything resembling a Churchill (other than the Churchill nodding dog kowtowing to new owners - which is quite ironic really if this wasn't a desperate situation)
  7. Les searching for the receipt for refund
  8. is the main culprit and needs to go first and now - w****r thinks he knows it all and is more stubborn than Wenger. With a decent manager or even the team at the end starting we would have won this game. Reed probably has a good pension/pay off lined up, and if on top he were to get sacked would get a fair amount of compo. I say pay him £5M to f off now. Get a top out of job manager as consultant (i.e. telling our clown what to do) for the rest of the games. If our new owner does not act, I am done with going to games until we have a new owner. Still a fan of the team, just not the owner, board, Reed the snake, or the pathetically cowardly manager/coach (although not his fault for our club hiring him - I am been supporting Saints since 1974 and he is defo the worst IMHO).
  9. Hope you're right but I very much doubt it - our clown is too afraid to win by his own admission. BTW my last post so I will say it here - what a thick "See You Next Tuesday" Ashley Barnes is - interviewed on Sky Ireland and could barely string two words together!Footy really has come to his rescue.
  10. That wouldn't have been flagged off side if AM hadn't saved it - whistle very late
  11. For Irish Sky viewers, it on live. Also means there will be decent streams around - NBC Gold are showing it as well
  12. #we waddle along
  13. Fair enough, however by the same token are we allowed to discredit the "manager" for all the other ****e substitutions during the season?
  14. Brilliant! Thanks, I live in Ireland and have eir sports2 as part of a package and did not know it was on that, so saves me having to find a dodgy stream :-)
  15. Ok, I get it you like jerking people off - well done for making slight of our current plight! Otherwise you are a grade one .... - no won't say it, wouldn't want to put pressure on you so you have to resort to taking sleeping pills. Poor poor PL players, so much expectation they cannot sleep in their multi-million mansions without pills or maybe drinking until 6 am and stealing taxi's - if only I was gifted enough to have such problems, but then as I am sure as you will respond, I am just a Joe Soap cu*t who could never know what pressure is!

If you don't agree with my view than fine. I think you know the points I was making: 1. People make mistakes - it's a given. Takes a strong individual to admit it and act on it and thus gain respect. Choice of replacement (whilst important) is not the point I am making. Of course you would hope after two abject appointments we would get the next one right. 2. If L1 Bradford can attract high caliber for L1, it is surely not a stretch of the average imagination that PL Southampton could also attract high caliber for PL is it? Would you have said Puel or Pellegrino were high caliber when appointed? Maybe you are happy with our current manager, and if so fine. I am not and the only point I am trying to make is that we can do something about it and do it where the board retain "some" respect, and there are better managers out there that will happily join us.

Les/Ralph, this is how it's done - you would have a lot more respect than you have currently: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5364729/Leeds-owner-calls-Thomas-Christiansen-appointment-mistake.html And for those that believe we could not attract a good replacement: http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/15934005.Bantams__inundated__with_offers_to_be_next_manager/ "We have been inundated with applicants in the past 24 hours and have spoken to a number of high calibre individuals." and this for L1 Bradford There is simply no excuse for not sacking our manager.

  20. Because it usually (note usually) is. Ok genius - explain how 3 of the most influential players that won us this game where left out against Brighton and many other games? Clearly their fault for not making the effort from the bench! This clown would not have picked this team in a million years if he job was not under threat. However if you think he's doing a great job, then good luck to you.

  22. Got a job going - would love to work for a boss like you? Promise to tell you what a great boss you were "on a daily basis" - if I bothered to turn up, or could do it via text/social media (if I knew how - who needs to keep up with this modern stuff anyway). Might be totally crap at my job, but I am sure you would say what a nice chap I was, and hire my even worse waste of space buddy so we could just have fun all day (well maybe 1 to 2 hours a day, 3 days a week). People like you restore the faith in humanity - when do I start on £100K a week - or make it a day if you insist - no need for an interview because I am the nicest bested person and will totally buy in to what your 5 phases are.
  23. It's either that the firing club agrees a once off payment for remaining contract (i.e. you have 3 years left at £3M per year, but we agree to pay you say £5M upfront and call it quits) or paid at £xM per year for remaining 3 years (as per contract, but usually declining year by year). The spanner in the wheel however is that most (not all) contracts state that any agreement is void when said sacked manager gets a new job (particularly quickly - which is understandable to counter against poaching etc. If only!!). Hence why managers are usually happy to take "time off for family/personal" reasons. New club probably has to agree to buy out the previous agreement in addition to new package. Can you really see our lot doing that??
  24. Ok, it's a bit of a conspiracy theory, but do you think Gao has a relegation clause in his buy out? Say £70M refund if we go down? Add cira £50M from VVD, £20M from TV money and Gates/Commercial etc. Leaves an asset of cira £60M in Championship - not too bad. Sell off more star players (should easily get £60M for Ryan, Gabbi, Ced, Lemina, Hoedt, Carrillo or some combination thereof). Investment paid off, and start again with kids and decent Champ players with parachute money. Get promoted and sell off for £150M. Probably not but nothing else seems to make sense either! Gao'ing down!
