How can you do something when you get no service?? He was shouting for the ball all game, and all Cedrick and others did was pass the ball backwards to the CB's who then got closed down by Hull forwards - time and again. All I can think is this was the managers instructions?? Gabbi then started dropping deeper to get the ball himself, which is not where you want your forward to do, specially at home with four front men. Why bother having such an attacking line up and then play completely defensively?? I was very hopeful with the Puel appointment given his reputation of developing young players etc. and when we supposedly rejected many well known names, but I am really struggling now. I enjoyed watching our fast attacking, passing and pressing style of play even if we lost, but this is just painful. I believe as usual we have gone for the cheap option and tried to sell it as more "emperor's new cloths". Just hope they new owners are more ambitious.

Frazer is a joke! Every kick out is an advantage for the opposition, and every shot is a goal or a fumble. Why he not get dropped?
-
Then offer him a new 2 to 3 year contact - it's not going to be that much is it? I am sure we can match Blackburn's offer, and if we do get rid we should get at least enough of a fee to cover the contract - we all see how much ordinary non PL players (specially English ones) are going for. Can not see how it makes sense to let him go at this stage.
-
Think we should keep him for now at least - we have kept other young players far longer when we knew deep down they would not make it. SG is only 21 and under Coyle, who guided and nurtured him did well. Keep him, loan him to Sunderland next year (suits their type of play) and see how he does - what's the downside? They pay his wages and give him more experience - only thing is not sure Moyes is the right manager to bring him on. As for JRod - shame but the injury has cost him, and better all around if he can get some regular game time elsewhere where he can maybe try and get some of his old form back - he will not get it here. I know we stood by him and all that, but honestly I dread when he comes on, let alone starts. Such a shame as he was a true talent at his peak. Again maybe a season long loan with the loanee club picking up his wages and biggish sell on option?
-
Maybe no one wanted him? Problem is we are top 7 to 10 level in the EPL on average, which is not a bad standard considering the EPL is arguably the best league right now, so to blood a new young player is much much harder than before. Also you will find a top player once every 2 to 3 years - which other club has done better? Think some of the players already mentioned will come good but it takes time. I do feel that we are slow to move on players who are not developing, but there again there are ample examples of clubs getting rid too early (some even paying a fortune to re-sign), and one of our attractions for young players is that we look after them even if they do not have a future at Saints. Not an easy solution, but one that is not a burning one for me whilst we maintain our top current EPL status or better.

Luckily managed to get tickets for the game - flying in from Ireland so not affordable to do so very often unfortunately, and particularly over the Easter weekend. Don't know how others further afield manage it (like our Dubai friends). Really looking forward to it. ...and BTW as I posted on another thread, the big man is going nowhere - at least this summer! Nothing is 100% I know but it would be worse than banana man if he left this summer
-
Just out of interest - are you 100% right in your job at all times? Normally, the general view on here is that we make a massive overall profit on transfers, Kate then launders it way without anyone noticing. Obviously has it completely wrong - should be scrubbing the loo rather than sticking the washing machine on!

Maybe now fans can appreciate Yoshida is more than a half decent PL defender? Captain today as well and led the line well. It's all about confidence, run of games and support (within the club and fans). Would be more than happy with Yoshida and VVD as a starting pair next season (and yes, VVD is staying for at least one more season). Need back up if MC leaves, but otherwise would spend the budget else where (midfield or/and attack)

No mate, it's just a con..dom! and it will certainly help with your problem above, esp. the cherry flavored one!

Thanks - wasn't aware. I guess Liverpool preferred an outright buy anyway, and we wanted try and buy as we weren't totally convinced at that price, which is fair enough. Pity but you can't win them all. Gabbi probably a better catch for example.
-
Agree, and yet many on here thought he was utter garbage, and we shouldn't touch him a barge pole. Precisely why whilst I like to think I know a lot about football, I respect the experts (Puel, Reed etc. in our case) judgement

NP. I am thick skinned but my point was it would nice to be nice some times and get more people involved. Anyway, not at all a difficult time for me, and being pedantic I know but I didn't say you jumped down my throat, just my view was and I can live with that, but just a sign of the times I guess that we are less tolerant of the "wider view".

ナナ and right here is the very reason why this forum is dominated by a relative minority with very fixed views (dare I say agenda's). It's a viewpoint - my viewpoint - not aimed at anyone or insulting anyone - I was trying to be a bit humorous yes, and maybe failed, but to have it jumped down my throat is not what, at least for me, is what a fans forum should be. Used to be interesting to get people's view compared to mine, and there are still some good posters with interesting comments, but frankly for me it is becoming very tedious and boring in the main. I know exactly what the tiny (in more sense than one) minority of mega posters think - after all you tell us often enough! Would be great to hear from others and have a meaningful discussion for once, but I guess this is not the place for that. So long Sir - I have better things to do with my time.
-
Also interesting to see the useless Sakho Liverpool reject not wanted at any cost at Saints is on the list, whilst our replacement CB hasn't played yet - as they say a funny old world!

Virtual Private Network. Means you can create a virtual network - internet link if you like - with an IP address that can be quite literally random and can be made to look like you are anywhere in the world. Also means no one can look in to your link to see what data you are transferring. Businesses use it all the time to secure their data from the outside world.

Yes. Want to bet on it if you are so sure - £100?

Simply unacceptable. More so when it's someone in their 50's.Can only assume he has no kids, as mine would certinly disown me for a lot less! Also as I got ambushed twice quite seriously in the 80's for just innocently walking to the Dell (blacked out for months randomly after one attack, including driving once), there is no excuse. Coward - him and his like, never up for a fair fight.
-
I am impressed that we have been "impressed by his impressive displays" :-)
-
Beg to differ - Forster could have done much more - arguably could have saved all 3 goals (arguably). Their keeper pulled off some great saves and was the difference in my view. Let's get a decent keeper in the summer, and for now give the others a chance. Agree the rest were great

# Think I know I lot more than you - just do a bit of research. Also, I clearly stated it was my opinion - if you don't agree with then fine, put yours across and debate it like a rational person, but as is the norm these days, it's all too easy to knock others without having any thoughts of your own!
-
Opinions - I get that. Mine this man was our our golden angel. Like it or not, without him Markus L would never have rescued / invested in us - he brought us to the attention of ML and even then had to convince him it was a worthwhile project (with his health record he probably knew he was not long for this world, so must have been a hell of a sell). All he did was to ensure we excelled in every way we could, and for me the results showed. He left because he wanted to take a gamble (slight IMHO) to take us to the next level, and Kate did not agree (as is her right as owner). But to ridicule NC is just childish and ignorant - suppose you would rather have the Coventry crowd in charge?
-
Personally think this is appalling and another major blow/indication of where the game (or rather business of football is these days). Was always neutral about Leicester - let's face it prior to last year there was nothing for a Saints fan to like or dislike particularly about them. Last year, what ever the circumstances, they simply pulled off a miracle and with old fashioned direct and exciting play - well done to them achieving something we will not see in the PL for a long long time (if ever) again - I was really jealous it wasn't us! However fair play to them - surely a more momentous occasion than our FA cup win? Had big LM relegated us the season after that, I for one would not have wanted him sacked for achieving history for us. Leicester will never again win the PL any time soon, without buying it - which the big teams and authorities will do their damnedest to stop. Most importantly, this type of moronic action by greedy non football (so called business) men completely drives coach and horses through the argument Poch, Koeman etc. should have been more loyal to Saints. If winning the PL against odds of 5000 to 1 only buys you 9 months in your current job, there is something seriously wrong with this game. Just glad I was around to enjoy the Dell days (not the poster on here) - honest pro's, loving the footy and fans (and smokes at half time!)
