Just maybe the perfect game for Pelle to be out - Liverpool did not have a front man, and with a quick mobile "front line", they tore City apart. Sure it will be difficult to pull it off twice in a row (EPL), but if we have a front three of Mane (central), Long (sure he was poor Sat, but more likely due to lack of match fitness than anything else, and as others have said what other options do we have?) and Juanmi (yes I know he hasn't done it so far, but what's to lose - most people think we will get tonked anyway!), and Tadic just behind, slightly in front of Vic and JC, we might have a hope? Above all we need to be sharper and have more desire than we have shown lately - where has the pressing gone???

Careful what you wish for! If Mane wins - he is more likely to be off to a top team in the summer. Having said that I of course voted for him - let's hope it's minimum £50M :-)

Not sure why people are getting so worked up?? From a business point of view we have made an operating profit for two years running now - under a "live within our means" model (as opposed to Nicky who wanted to gamble for the big time - which is another debate and not one for here). The only debt (or soft debt) is money owed to Kat, for which we are all grateful for, but hardly a big issue as she will more than make that back if/when she ever sells the club. Marcus paid circa £15M for club and stadium, add that to the soft debt and she is quids in even if sold now. If we manage to keep the majority of our squad for next year, with the increased TV money we will easily wipe out the soft debt. I just hope we continue to invest the additional funds we have to improve the squad (Mane replacement for starters!)

Honestly? Did you watch the game - yes we won but had we played a decent team we would have been ripped to pieces. We will not progress past the next stage IMHO - beating poor teams is one thing (Swiss were by far the strongest next team, so enough said. Woy is clueless and the sooner we ditch him the better.

Got the goals last term, but QPR want too much for a one season show - who is to say he will be consistent? Also weren't there reports about his medical condition (seem to remember West Ham chairman mentioning that he failed a medical or something). BTW, funny that Pelle is now irreplaceable as when he joined and recently people thought he was pants, and needed to be dropped particularly away from home! Maybe we will find an equally good donkey when Pelle eventually needs replacing??

Lived in Masaka for a few years as a very young kid (met Idi Amin would you believe!), and was born in Kisumu (Kenya). So look out for Kenyan results, particularly since Vic joined, not too bothered about Uganda though. More locally, I look out for Woking (lived nearby for many a years and got to know some exceptional people who keep/kept the club going through their difficult times), and now Bray Wonders - sadly my nearest team (moved to Ireland due to Irish wifey), but worth watching a live team now and again. Honestly, can't understand some comments above about only supporting Saints - difference for me is, I only support Saints and have done (despite the ridicule I get, particularly in Ireland. On one occasion my wife got a taxi and mentioned I supported Saints, the cabbie offered my wife a free ride as she obviously was married to a nut case - worst part she refused!), but you take an interest (or perhaps greater interest) with a place of affinity? Surely a bit like wanting one of our international players to do well in a given competition, until they face England?
-
Agree with this - thought Long was expensive and not that good when we first got him, but on reflection he gives it his all, gets stuck in, is at times great - maybe lacks consistency (where have we heard that before?), and in my books a much better return than Gaston or certainly Osvaldo! I like him and think he will get better for us (Brett O, type rather than Ted McD - showing my age), but if he stays long enough (see what I did there?) maybe he will in the "Franny" bracket?

Apparently the Pope is Catholic - who would have thunk it??

Sorry guys, completely missed this - what was the context? One of the MK players have a funny hair do or something? Ignored it first but seems to be doing the rounds??

Gary Monk in, if / when RK leaves? Don't want Ron to leave but feel he will at the end of his contract. Would GM want to come to us, or has he built up a greater affinity with the Swans? Would love to have a decent ex player as our main man - red and white through and through rather than a glam name! Who else is possible in that capacity - Pahars? Don't personally want Kevin K. Franny would be brill but not good enough! What is Chris N up to these days - always liked him, but I fear the modern game is not his forte!
-
Very much beg to disagree - why on earth do (one imagines other wise sensible) people come up with such comments? If he left he would get his entire contract settled in full (if he choose), and be free to start with a new club on a new contract and even more money! Fact that he wants to try and prove himself here shows he is a decent and honest hard working player. By all means comment on his failure to deliver so far, and how frustrating it is not to see his potential talent put to use as of yet, but cheap shots - aren't we beyond that?

... and win the league:D

I might just agree with this one - well maybe not a joke, but not quite up to Cedrick standard :-) I would have shifted Yossi to LB and brought Ced to RB, but then I agreed with RK's logic in having Yossi instead of Ced (to counter MDP threat), and I am not the manager, so what do I know?? Other than I am not quite as suicidal as some on here or ISIL (oh dear - I've done it now - helmet and jacket on, and hunkering down for the night!).

Dear oh dear - just logged on to this chat, and honestly talk about the histrionics??? Good god we lost - yes we should have won, but **** happens in football. Only 23 posts in but so much BS on here. Will try and comment on some (don't know why though - it's all doom and gloom and we are better off in admin and L1). Firstly, like it or nor MU are on a ruthless streak right now - last two games 6 attempts on target and scored from all of them - that's not luck, at least not for all 6! 2nd, anyone watching Sky before the game will have heard RK explaining why Yossi was at LB instead of Cedrick, and at the time I thought great tactic but what if Yossi ****s up? In the end I think it was a good call, as MDP would have roasted Ced, and then RK would have been an idiot for not spotting that. The Yossi back pass alone did not cost us the game (lot's of other factors played a part) - yes it was poor, and maybe others should have warned of any danger, but mostly he had MDP in his pocket. I think Gary N had it spot on - we lost the game as we took the pressure off after the 2nd Pelle attempt (which he should have scored), BUT it seemed the players took the foot off, as maybe they were tiring or got complacent etc. Even after the MU equaliser, which was clearly off side and hence extremely lucky, why oh why did we change our complete dominant way of playing?? This was not RK change of tactic (Sky interview after game), rather players. I actually blame Jose - he is the captain, and should have rallied the team to stick to task (VVD was the only one trying to do this). Never saw the do or die attitude either - get stuck in, take one for the team - let the young upstart know he is in a game - none of that - just let him swan around. We were lucky Rooney was off his game. All in all, a very frustrating day - we should have got a point at the very least, played some great football, some absolute rubbish, but ultimately got out psychic'ed of the game. Expecting every player to maintain a 100% concentration throughout the game is fantasy - we need to stick to what we are good at, and play the percentages! We will be fine, maybe not top 10 but close.
-
Not what I meant - rather if the manager is not prepared to commit his future, player is more likely to keep his options open - why would players with 2 years or less sign extensions if they don't know what the future holds? We may hire a cr ap manager (or one that has history with said player etc.). As with Clyne that impacts us in getting the best value at the very least. So losing Koeman is not the biggest issue, rather the implication that he is not with the "Southampton Way", and so question our "We March On!" vision!

Have to say that is excellent quality video - I mean visually, not the dire content. Not sure our video quality is as good? Just imagine live streams with that resolution and no jitter :-)

Didn't sound like it - made a very specific reference to seeing out his contract IMHO - think he will leave at the end of the contract for another challenge. Hope I am wrong though!

Why this constant and frankly childish need to question and belittle people’s views? This is after all a forum to primarily express one’s views – if you don’t agree with or like them, then either just ignore them or simply express your own views in a sensible and mature way. God only knows how dull this world would be if we all had the same view on life! BTW – this is not a specific response to your post alone, rather a general view I hold.

you must be watching a different game to me then!

Why would you drop Yoshi after his great performance in a covering position at Newcastle out of interest?
