  1. Much as I would like all of our main team to stay - I do not anyone who does not want to be here or thinks they are too good for Saints. I think both AL and LS are learning that they are not as good as they might like to believe (neither starting or likely to for England). I am with David in Sweden in that if we spend ALL of the incoming monies on new, young, exciting and up coming players (plus maybe 1 or 2 experienced) then we stand a great chance of improving the team overall. As DiS says our stars might have peaked and may not get any better, so let them go and warm the benches of a CL team, while we build the next set of prodigies :-)
  2. Apologies Turkish - bad bad day yesterday, lot's of personal issues, but that is no excuse to abuse you. Don't agree with your view but that is no reason to resort to foul language. Sorry once again - you are perfectly entitled to your view, and for me to disagree, but in a respectful way. Trust you can take it on the chin and move on? Abuse me as much as you like if it makes up for it?
  3. Sounds good, but just wondering who would people prefer Koeman or FdB, whose name seems to have disappeared from any further links to us? FdB would be my preference and would be good for developing the youth I feel.
  4. My fervent hope is that KL does not make us hate the Liebherr name and all that her father did for us – not holding my breath however :-)
  5. FRO (F**k Right off) - I have never criticized anyone on this board yet, but you are seriously tempting me!
  6. In my eyes he is history - only useful job he can do now is replace the statue in front of the stadium as an example of an even greater c**k up than the last statue!
  7. My message to KL: Your father and you have the utmost gratitude of the majority (if not all) of the Saints fans for rescuing us from oblivion and retuning us to our rightful place – for that I for one will be eternally grateful. However, it would appear from various media and other sources that you do not appear to share your father’s passion for football or Saints, which is fair enough. If that is indeed the case, please please do not destroy your great father’s legacy by destroying this wonderful club. By all means, take a fair profit on your and your father’s investment by selling to someone who will further your father’s legacy, and loves football (and maybe even Saints). Please do not asset strip the club, or continue with the amateur/wanbe board to tarnish your father’s legacy – there is no price on a legendary reputation, which your father has, and one you risk completely tarnishing if current events continue. Also, why have you been so silent during one of our most concerning period since you were in charge?
  8. Ok, let's say at start of new season we are -£50M on net transfers - to be clear, we spend less than £50M on new players, than we get from player and manager sales (£2M for MP). I don't have an issue with you personalty (actually you are one of the more sensible posters on here|), but have have serious misgivings over KL. I have supported Saints since 1974 and really enjoyed most of it, but this really concerns me. Hope I am wrong?
  9. I'll take you on that - seriously. Let's define the terms of payout (via Paypal?)
  10. you cannot believe a single word that RK or the rest of the board say ever again (Les made a similar promise, remember?) - IF RL goes prior to a new manager/coach being appointed! More likely, the complete opposite is likely to happen! SIMPLES!!! If true it's a very very sad day - RK will be a bigger liar than Rupert, Wilde, Askham and the rest of them put together! The only way RL can come out of this with a grain of dignity, is to say KL shafted me well and truly!
  11. I would take £15 to 20M for Clyne, and spend it on a decent striker. We have Chambers as a ready made replacement. For cover if there is not one in the youth, then get a young promising right back for £1 to 2M. Also Cork etc. can cover.
  12. Seems like you do? Calm down, he hasn't said anything yet - if you're not bothered, don't listen/read.
  13. Think you mean Irish! And yes an utter one! Don't remember Ray H being the perfect footballer, that he appears to be now???
  14. We haven't been too good in the keeper department for some time now - maybe we need a new keeper coach/scout? I will refrain from the Gazza debate, but we have in Gazza and Coddy, two similar aged keepers - surely we don't need both? Get rid of one or both this summer. KD should be retired or made coach (however if he has had any input so far then no thanks). Be great to have two top keepers competing for their place, like all other outfield positions.
  15. Fantastic win and brilliant display! Only concern is that it seems to take us about ten chances to convert one – if only we can address this, then top 4 is not that much of a fantasy!

  17. No. I support Saints not Hull and am very proud of our achievements this year, and more so over the last 5!

  19. Here we go again, same old fecking trolls, with same old agenda! So so so boring - Mods grow a pair or see this site wither and die! I very barely come on here these days, so not bothered either way - what a shame, as I love to hear genuine Saints fan's views.
  20. "One Day" is the key. One day I would love to manage Saints - willing to bet any amount to anyone that will not happen - any takers?
  21. why has the formatting gone to sh*t? I copied from a word doc? Sorry guys - hope it still makes sense?
  22. In my view, this announcement along with others since NC’s departure shows the differencesbetween NC and KL and ultimately why he left. I had, along with many othersthought that NC would mount a bid for Saints with other backers but I am nolonger sure any more? NC has alwaysbeen a very ruthless and single mindedly successful high achiever in everythinghe has done in his life, and his SFC project was no different. At the time ofML rescuing the club, ML was happy with us getting in to and staying in the PLwhereas NC wanted top 4 or better. NC was never backward in funding that ambitioneither (albeit with ML’s money) – remember the “we are the Man City of L1” etc.quotes? NC is a driven individualin whatever he does – no matter what that is – so if he is running a footballclub, it will either be close to the very best or nothing. So, in my view hewanted to spend big in the summer to get us closer to that aim (£100M –consistent with the rumored targets if believed). KL says no way, but here’s£30M (minimum to stop him resigning on the spot) and we will review in Jan. Weget to 3rd and hit injury and squad depth issues, so NC insists onspending the rest/more in Jan. KL says no. NC says you have no ambition and hedoes not want to be part of a 2nd rate operation and leaves. I believe NC willgo back to the world of finance he knows well and will once again become a #1success earning 10’s if not 100’s of millions of Euro’s per year in bonuseswithout any fans scrutinizing how he is ripping off SFC with his £1M salary, and consider his debt to his loyal friend repaid in full. KL will nodoubt lead us to an era of mid table PL obscurity – which I am entirelygrateful for given my absolute despair prior to her dear father’s rescue of ourbeloved club (happy to have a club in L1 than none at all), and she will nodoubt be honoring her late father’s expectations also. I am notentirely certain how to call this myself, although I am reminded of particularquote, “It's so much easier to have no expectations than to have big ones”
  23. http://cricfree.tv/live/watch/southampton_vs_stoke_city/25159 by far the best I have found
  24. Is this really necessary? If you don't like him or what he did fine, but resorting to childish name calling of someone who has moved on, and IMHO tried to do his best to improve SFC whilst he was here is a new low even for this site!
