  1. I seem to remember this is written up on the side of their stadium - it’s the equivalent of us marching on/in. So, the question you should be asking is why the likes of Liverpool singularly fail to march on/in, whereas we effortlessly manage it every year.
  2. For those not there - quite a long inquest afterwards with players round the ref, captains consulted etc. looked like it might end like that Leeds game a few years back when after a spot of blatent cheating Leeds let the opposition score - but no, not this time. what on earth was going on - we clearly had the ball passing it around before play was stopped.
  3. Anyone got their’s yet? At what point should I get worried?

  5. If results over the remaining games replicates the sides’ recent form over the same number of games - Burnley - 44 Saints - 41 Leeds and Everton - 39 Would suggest it could be a “high points to survive” season. Unfortunately I suspect the very high price on saints to be relegated might reflect the lack of money on us versus the other sides over the season. Feels more like a 33/1 or 50/1 to me.
  6. Thanks - so close! Maybe I hit refresh at 9:29 and then 9:31!
  7. Anyone know at what point they sold out? I was on line this morning (my earliest possible date) but no luck. Would be interested to know the cut off for future planning.
  8. 1 Klopp 2 Pep 3 Ralph Also our longest serving since Chris Nichol. It’s great to have some stability at long last.
  9. If you could avoid that airport in future it would be much appreciated - thanks.
  10. In addition to all the goals I remember them hitting the woodwork three times and FF making several blinding saves. sounds like XG performed at a similar level to SFC today.
  11. I think he has crossed a line today - the club should sever any ties with him. Extremely sad.
  12. Sorry, the analysis was of where the free kick is from, rather than were the ball ends up - all his successful ones have been on the left hand side of the pitch or dead centre. None from the right hand side yet.
  13. If you slow it down we make an appearance in 1996. Reminds me of an article in the Athletic recently which gave each clubs record premiership transfer adjusted for football revenue growth inflation. Ours was……. Neil Shipperley! Interesting that a few clubs don’t (or hardly) appear at all - Liverpool and Man Utd for example. I’m not sure it’s a list you want to be on.
  14. We used to call him Just Wide Prowse. Well all that practice has certainly paid off - he is superb now. I saw some stats recently and he is miles better if the free kick is to the left of the penalty spot than to the right (in fact he may not have scored on the right hand side) - if it’s in that left area it’s as good as a penalty. (Better than quite a few penalty takers - although not quite an MLT penalty.)
  15. Odd - atmosphere seemed really good in away end. Lots of singling. Great atmosphere all round I thought.
  16. It was a few years ago but I vaguely remember contacting the ticket office and upgrading the ticket for one match when the same happened to me. Pretty sure there’s a light thing the stewards seem to check.
  17. Don’t forget “Dirty Cash (Money Talks)” blaring out at the teams left the field for half time. Very appropriate. incredible work by the half time DJ.
  18. We have until Thursday to reserve season ticket seats - now on sale. Just in case, like me, you didn’t get the email from the club (despite being opted in to all comms).
  19. Done - much higher quality than SFCs surveys too! Reasonable length, no obvious spelling errors, and no stupid questions.
  20. Don’t really hate any team. Dislike most of the big sides with possible exception of City, for proving that success is all about pumping in loads of cash. Would be very funny to see Chelsea return to their 1 trophy every 50 years former status. one side that I couldn’t see mentioned - Wolves. Always do well against us recently and a horrible side to watch - time wasting, feigning injury, super defensive.
  21. Just for the record a) you missed out the words “a hat-trick” b) yes Hoddle - 98, although by then the England squad was extremely strong, and MLT should have been a regular in it for years before that, when he was overlooked in favour of some real dross.
  22. When we next get promoted perhaps we should sing “on the pitch (but not before the game has ended, in case the game isn’t completed and we don’t get promoted)” to help the more intellectually challenged members of our fan base.
  23. Leeds 0 Saints 1 A key game in our history. One of the best goalkeeping performances for saints ever. And what a strike from Sir Ricky.
  24. Dellhurst park was very loud. I could hardly hear my Kazoo; and I lost my Fez after the second goal.
  25. To add insult to injury - got some seats nearby where there were a few in a line but…. even though there are 2 spare seats the last one of our ST group can’t buy it as it would leave an odd seat!!!
