Are you blaming the customers for not buying the product?

Does anybody recognise these symptoms? (with apologies to anyone affected by such issues) The five stages of facing death: Stage One: Denial, shock, and disbelief. Feeling of numbness. The inability to accept what has happened and insistence that no change has taken place. Stage two: Anger that the situation could occur, possibly directed to others. Stage Three: Beginning to accept the reality of the situation, but trying to 'bargain' for a bit more time to live, whether through expressions of religious belief or increased compliance with medical instructions. Stage Four: Depression, characterized be feelings of hopelessness and despair about what has already been lost and what else will be lost. Stage Five: Acceptance of the loss, and quiet discussions of death with closest friends and relatives. An emotional reprieve from negative emotions. Feelings of peaceful resignation about one's own fate. Lack of interest in, and withdrawal from, the everyday affairs of life, such as political affairs, social events, news stories, and so on.

Worse than Blackpool?

I don't even buy green bananas.

The Great Escape spirit has slipped out through a tunnel whilst nobody was looking. I don't think it will be coming back.

The only consolation for me was the chance to visit new grounds but I've already been to four of those. How about Yeovil, Bristol Rovers, Colchester, Southend, Swindon, Leyton Orient, Charlton? They're almost local derbies.

We tried that and look where it got us.

In our hearts we knew it was all over before today but somehow I feel cold and empty tonight. It's almost as though I've lost a long-loved friend. I think it's because we have absolutely nothing to look forward to next season. No team, no money, no hope.

If you had to describe this season in one sentence...

told you so -
Saturday had the same feeling for me as when we let a two-goal lead slip against Aston Villa. Of course it's still 'all to play for' but will somebody please tell the players.

Tottenham?

He cut inside a defender and then slashed the ball wildly for a throw-in with two of our lads open in front of goal. Apart from that, he ran around a lot.

Hmmm, I think it's more a case of rules than laws. Isn't there some catch-all that lets the League impose any sanction it might feel like dreaming up?

Forum match at SMS - one space remaining (away team manager!)

Let me know if you still need any make-weights. I can always wander around on the wing pretending to look interested if it helps. I shouldn't look out of place. -
I never thought it attractive.

I would expect the verdict to be 'not yet'. It will all depend on what happens to the Footbal Club over the next few weeks. If we find a buyer or money then the Club will still be solvent. Effectively, it's the landlord that's gone bust.

The Run In: All the Games - All the Teams...
Whitey Grandad replied to .comsaint's topic in The Saints
Agreed. I've gone from 'running out of games' to 'run out of games'. i'm still clinging to the hope that is Tuesday night. Until Wednesday, that is. -
Seems reasonable to me.

To all those who claim that Lowe has cut cost I have only two words to say: Morgan Schneiderlin

Didn't that used to be Brighton? I'm sure that they used to cut the bottoms out of the bags and put the numbers on the back with felt-tip pens. Have you thought about ground-sharing with them? It would save on having to repaint the stadium between home games.
