Isn't he injured?
-
Good advice, but sad that we have to give it.
-
Does anybody have any idea why Aribo was chosen ahead of Mara?
-
Very unlikely that anyone could have held that. Punching gives less control over direction (!). Using flat hands it should have either gone back the way it was coming or behind or over the bar. Definitely not down to his left hand side.
-
My neighbour reckoned that Selles was telling them all to hold back. Unbelievable really.

I reckon we need a minimum of four wins from seven games and even that would probably not be enough.
-
Yes he should, but that goal yesterday was not due to his positioning, which was correct, nor due to decision making because he had no time to think. It was purely due to having weak wrists. I wouldn’t call that a ‘weird’ goal’. Just poor handling and there have been plenty of other goalkeepers showing the same thing, even yesterday.

He’s not the main reason we’re going down, nowhere near it. You cannot discount the porous defence in front of him. Shots have been coming at him from twelve yards away and sometimes even closer and no team can ever survive that.
-
When you look at the overall picture that is where our problems lie. Poor management chooses inappropriate players and then chooses to play them in inappropriate systems.

I watched the first goal last night. I’ve said before that his wrists aren’t strong enough and I don’t know if they ever will be. He should have palmed that shot anywhere but straight down into the middle of our goal. I maintain my point that he is being criminally exposed. The defence should be a layered structure but time after time the opposition are waltzing into our penalty are and being allowed time to pick their spot. Having said all that we are never going to win any game unless we can score ourselves. We are just a poor team in almost all positions and can’t complain about our league position.

Bednarek has a slow brain and ha can’t do long passes. JWP show for him in midfield but then pings the ball straight back first time without even taking a touch or looking around first. What we need is a central midfielder who can drop short for the ball and then turn and drive us forward. We don’t have one.

He’s a false footballer.
-
Did he ever come through it?
-
Exactly how I saw it. We’ve got two good full backs and yet he plays AMN there. Djenepo and Mara play well against City yet don’t start the next game. Weird.

I did get it right. My iPad couldn’t bear to let me type it. Cleverarse

Shush… Let’s hope none of our ‘management’ team find out until it’s too late.
-
I was wondering during the game what sort of training our defenders did and then it dawned on me. They practise by defending against our own attackers. No wonder they’re not very good at it.

Lack of someone better. He was only ever one for the future but the failure to sign an experienced goalkeeper has left him as our only realistic choice. McCarthy has be injured a lot of the season.
-
Did they smuggle it in tucked under a jersey?
-
I was never a fan of Stephens but he is a better defender. If nothing else he wouldn’t now be helping Bournemouth get victories.
-
Without the goals.
-
You cannot possibly compare his run of games with the others. Drawling against Arsenal and winning at Bournemouth or drawing with Tottenham and winning at Chelsea. Not much in it.
-
No, you have jumped to a wrong conclusion. Again. I was referring to the ball out to Ayew who was unmarked on their left wing. It was he who skipped past AMN.
