They killed thousands of Ukrainian civilians and now they’ve started on their own.
  2. Ian Whittell in The Times doesn’t agree with you. I wouldn’t qui Go as far as him and I though Forster might have done better with their disallowed effort but he did have two opposition players right in his face with no defenders anywhere to be seen. “Two first-half goals would have been far more but for a stunning display from the Southampton goalkeeper, Fraser Forster, and an indifferent one from his outfield team-mates.” ”…and nine minutes later he made an equally stunning goalline save to keep out a Rodriguez header” “…when Rodriguez and Cork scrambled the ball in after another superb Forster save, but VAR ruled it fractionally offside.”
  3. That's the 'bottom line' attitude to management, all that matters to such folks is the league position at the end of the season. Football means a lot more than that to me. I want the team that I support to go out and have a real go at it in every game they play. I want to feel that we have a chance of scoring some goals in every game that we play. I want some excitement now and again. The league position is not something to be targeted in itself. Take care of the formation and performances and the league table will take care of itself. And we're not 9th in the table, we're 13th with a goal difference of minus sixteen!
  4. Based on his last ten games or so I would be looking elsewhere for next season.
  5. I have tried but the milk just keeps running through them. I think I’ll stick to using a spoon.
  6. If FF had not shoved Cork out of the way then that goal would definitely have been ruled out for offside. Perhaps he should just do nothing and let himself be obstructed?
  7. It was more than six yards. That was never a goalkeeper’s ball.
  8. You are miles out. There was nothing he could have done about their second goal. He was the only one to come out of that game with any credit. It’s not the goalkeeper’s job to control his penalty area. That is supposed to be done by the defence.
  9. I’ve had enough.
  10. Burnley 2 Statues 0
  11. Yep. And offside.
  12. Don’t be silly.
  13. VAR is not used for ball in or out of play, nor should it. My views on VAR have been quite clear. I don’t like it at all. I don’t like the way that it is being used to re-referee the game.

    Good point.
  15. From The Times on Tuesday, “Eddie Howe has identified Newcastle United’s mid-season break in Saudi Arabia as the turning point in their rise from relegation favourites to all but guaranteeing Premier League survival. Newcastle were second-bottom after 20 matches, with only 12 points on the board, but have won eight of their past 12 games to climb to 14th — 12 points clear of the relegation zone.”
  16. He’s been responsible for letting a lot of goals in. Norwich away comes to mind. We can do better and we should.
  17. You call that pile of stones a beach???
  18. VAR’s remit doesn’t extend to goal line decisions because there is Goal Line Technology. Yes, it’s ridiculous.
  19. Keyhole surgery, innit.
  20. He had a big scar where a rib was removed to make Eve. It was right where his belly button would have been so any evidence has been lost.
  21. ‘Sussex Live’ agrees. “According to the league's rules, if a player has ten yellow cards by match 32, and the Seagulls have played 32 games so far this term, that equates to a two-match ban. Therefore, Bissouma is suspended for the Man City game on Wednesday and the Southampton match on Sunday - but he will be available for Wolves on April 30” https://www.sussexlive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/brighton-bissouma-man-city-southampton-6967347
  22. You should always be very careful with an airline near skin. It can create an air bubble in the bloodstream and cause an embolism. Get yourself an umbilical hernia. If it sticks out far enough fluff will ever get near it.
  23. Terribly sad. My heart goes out to the two of them.
  24. It’s a possibility. Salisu wasn’t quite ‘on the ball’ against Chelsea.
  25. If I remember correctly, we bought him from FC Twente who had continuous financial problems for a fee of around £1m. This sometimes happens when a manager owes a favour to another club.
