Different league. Please not this "last season" crap again. There is no comparison.

I can’t watch the link. It wants me to install something. -
It was when they changed the rules in 2019 about goal kicks having to leave the penalty area. I think Arsène Wenger had something to do with it. Damned stupid idea. Here’s some of the thinking below. In theory by opening up your own goal area to the opposition you’re making openings around their back line that your goalkeeper can exploit by kicking long. Yeah, right. https://www.sportskeeda.com/football/news-the-new-goal-kick-rule-change-a-primer

Where’s that head-in-hands icon when you need it?

Over an hour wasn’t it? I think it was the same occasion. When I got out of the ground there were some police there and one, who was dressed up like a robocop, said mechanically “We are going to Fratton railway station”. I looked at him quizzically and he repeated it. I had gone by car and the last thing I wanted was to go to the railway station in a precession under police escort as a moving target so I politely declined. “You’re going on your own sir? Well good luck!” He obviously didn’t expect me to survive too long. I wasn’t worried. I was an old white haired pensioner in a plain raincoat. When you get to my age you become invisible and nobody even notices you. After 50 yards I had blended into the background. Evidence of a big disturbance was everywhere.

When we were kept behind at Fratton Park after that testimonial match for their keeper (Alan Knight?) Beasant came out onto the pitch and kept us entertained with his light hearted sense of humour.

What on earth does he have over them?

We shall be in the Championship next season 🙂

A few years ago we had a bit of a discussion about The kinks. This Saturday the 1st February their tribute band the Kast Off Kinks are performing at The Regent Theatre in Christchurch, kickoff 19:30. They are all talented musicians and the drummer Mick Avory is an original member. Unfortunately my contact Nobby Dalton no longer appears with them but I saw them a few years ago in Fareham and I can strongly recommend them. There are still some seats left if anyone is not going to Ipswich and is at a bit of a loss. https://www.regentcentre.co.uk/event/91607

I was open mouthed in astonishment as were all the Ipswich team. Nobody could believe what was happening. It was like the episode of Band of Brothers where Lieutenant Speirs runs twice right through a German occupied village without being challenged. It was just too crazy to be believed.

Aren’t they called “tunnels”? Is this another example of your sardonic wit? 🤨

He’d get blisters.

They may be leading but that does not make them leaders of people.
-
If you mean HAMAS how many people voted for them?
-
You have ridiculous expectations.

Shannon would argue that not giving information is in itself giving information.
-
Ta. You can’t really say that they improved the squad since they were here the season before.

I wasn’t really being serious. Or was I?

Selfish attention seekers. There are far more effective ways of trying to make your point.
