  1. He did well for us in that crucial game at Swansea. I have just looked up the details and it was over three years ago!
  2. "A costly mistake" He joins a long list.
  3. So by opposing an anit-libertarian measure he has restricted the liberties of part of the population.
  4. That’s a fair point but a simple message on the website and the invitations would help to clarify the situation.
  5. Me??? My conclusion from the views of others. Not necessarily my view.
  6. From the comments above it would appear that we are starting the season in the wrong league.
  7. Away games for the first and last fixtures.
  8. When is Boxing Day this year
  9. That wasn’t the problem.
  10. The limit on the number of households.
  11. It’s eased a bit since 17th May when it used to be limited to just two households. I now have to find a time when I can go and see them but they keep getting ill. Not my mum though, she just sails through it all. So far.
  12. You might very well think that, I couldn’t possibly comment
  13. I would never pay the extra £300 each for ‘my seats’ so I slapped a deposit down on a couple in the next block along just for this season. If it wasn’t for my grandson I would have let them go but a lot depends on what he does this year after finishing his A levels. When I get back next week I shall give the officials there a ring and see what the situation is after the renewal deadline on the 16th. Things should be a lot clearer then.
  14. Broxbourne, Hertfordshire. My two sisters and their families are also in that area. It's a two hour drive at best. Her hearing is now too bad to use the phone. Just one example. There are plenty of others in the same situation.
  15. You really are under the thumb, aren’t you. If you’re happy to roll over and have your tummy tickled that’s up to you. You obviously don’t value your freedoms so you won’t mind when they are taken away for good. You haven’t got a clue as to the difficulties that some outfits are facing. £50,000 in debt with repayments starting this month, furlough payment coming to an end soon, redundancies starting from now on, but no, you’re all right so that’s all that matters. My mother is way over 101 and lives that many miles away with my sisters. Do you think I will be allowed to go and see her before she dies? If she does die I will be allowed to go and see her then but not before. As for my Season Ticket, it’s my money and my loyalty and I’ve got every right to complain. You really are a soft touch.
  16. The same height as me And Robert Redford and Paul Newman.
  17. I assume that’s 100 miles and 2.5 hours each way.
  18. I sympathise with your situation. I can see the sense in waiting another couple of weeks, but beyond that and many thinks start to snap. The vaccination process has been a tremendous achievement and we, as a whole, must have faith in its effectiveness. But where is the threat to the NHS?
  19. It's in the air at the moment. When I spoke to the ticket office a couple of weeks ago they said that they were waiting for guidance but the intention is to go for the usual smart cards when they can.
  20. Wages are only part of the costs of operating a business. There are a whole host of other overheads. Rent and insurance for a start.
  21. You haven’t asked how my business has been affected. And I am by no means the only one around here.
  22. Where have I ever said or complained that it was about me? Unlike you, I have empathy for others and their problems. Can you not for once try and see things from the perspective of others? But no. You’re all right Jack so anybody who isn’t is just ‘whingeing’. What a nasty, selfish person you must be.
  23. They are so limited as to make continued existence uneconomic. If you’re not affected by it in any way then bully for you. But at least have some understanding of those whose lives have been ruined and are continuing to run up debts.
  24. So you think that means that nobody is out of work as a result of it?
  25. If this lockdown is so minimal then what’s the problem with getting rid of it altogether?
