I’ve just seen MOTD. McCarthy got caught a couple of times by being too close to his line. The disallowed Werner goal he started to come for the cross and then retreated to his line. For their third he was a couple of feet too close to his line. I think the red card was harsh especially in those conditions. We had been told that VAR would not lead to re-refereeing of the game but this has happened a lot.
