Did somebody call? In my opinion TV has too much influence already and I blame Sky as much as anybody. Their so-called analysis just consists of trying to make a controversy out of something that doesn't exist. Football as it exists is a wonderful game but the laws are by their very nature imprecise and depend on an individual making a quick decision and I see nothing wrong with that. From what I have seen of cricket and especially rugby I don't think that the TV referee does anything to enhance the game and only leads to delays and confusion.

Some assists are better or more significant others. I have never felt that any were significant unless the ball was laid on a plate for somebody. It's a team game and as long as the team keeps scoring I'm happy.

If we had been able to bring Long on for the last 20 minutes that might haven shaken them up a bit, alas. The papers I read gave him 5 out of 10, which I thought was generous.

They were capable players but if an opposing team started to get on top of them they would resort to all sorts of dirty tricks to try and kill the game. But I do remember one midweek game against Sheffield Wednesday who beat them 2-1 and simply outplayed them with quick, passing football.

They'll always be that. Dirty, nasty, spiteful team under Revie. Not a trace of sportsmanship to be found anywhere. The term 'beautiful game' never applied to Leeds.
