It depends on the time of year. To be honest I never notice it and it doesn't bother me but we have been bounced around a bit on some of our cruises. If there's any chance that she'll be seasick then just the thought of it is probably bad enough. My mrs can feel a bit sick at times but she just takes the Stugeron tablets (available from boots and all good chemists). The only guaranteed cure for seasickness is to stand under a tree.

All out for 60.

From the BBC: In the crowd, an Australia fan sits with his head on his hand. "I saved for years for this. The trip of a lifetime, hoping to see us win the Ashes in England for the first time in 14 years. They can't even bat until lunch."

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal

Have we ever had a player called Virgil? -
To do with extreme flutter under certain situations, apparently.

That's more of a technical issue than anything else. When he bought the club he would have paid a very minimal amount upfront, just enough for the administrator to prefer his offer to liquidating the assets and converting them into cash. Now he has a business but no operating capital so he puts money into the business in the form of a loan which enough to see us pay wages and buy players and get promotions and then when the club is on a more sound footing that loan can be converted to equity for a number of reasons but probably to reduce net debt and help us meet FFP regulations. So basically his initial loan got us back to being a well-funded operation but it was then up to the playing staff to get results, which is indirectly the same as pumping money into a club of similar size.

About time too. Graham Poll giving his view here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3185471/How-Premier-League-player-not-dismissed-abuse-five-seasons-Loutish-behaviour-punished.html

Sadly that was another era. I was disappointed to see the town moved to an inferior county.

Their's has been a fantastic achievement. I would say that we are now at the level where we belong whereas they are above theirs. TIme will tell. I do go and watch them occasionally and have done for a long time and never in my wildest dreams did I expect to see this situation. They have played good exciting football but I do have the feeling that they are now among the really big boys and my be in for a reality shock.

You don't spell 'whining' like that.

It's actually quite funny I'm surprised it made the news in New Zealand. I know nothing much happens there but it was clearly a quiet day for real news.

Cut him some slack, poor chap. He's on the other side of the world and it may be that the only friends he has are some of us on here. I am always pleased to hear from our distant colleagues no matter what they have to say

Koeman at Soton airport today at arrivals at 13:45
Whitey Grandad replied to mcbendy's topic in The Saints
Exactly. He might have come from Poole or Bursledon or Brockenhurst. Romsey, even. You can't tell which direction the train came from by looking at the tracks. -
Yes, a curious signing. It makes you wonder who was the driving force behind it.

Produced by Microsoft it would appear judging by the number of times that things go wrong. It would explain a lot.

The situations are not comparable. Is the gold actually there anyway? Nobody is allowed inside Fort Knox to check the US holdings: http://www.wallstreetdaily.com/2013/07/16/fort-knox-gold/ http://moneymorning.com/2015/05/12/is-there-gold-at-fort-knox/

My mrs has a few RBS shares and wishes she had sold them 10 years ago

Indeed he was. In this instance I still cannot see any valid reason ffor it but this might be one: http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/finance/thomaspascoe/100018367/revealed-why-gordon-brown-sold-britains-gold-at-a-knock-down-price/ It was sold on the cheap and he/we made sure it was even cheaper than it needed to be. It took 3 years or so for the surge in the gold price to make this sale look as weird as it does today.

If you live in Hampshire then Dover-Calais is a long way round. There is also Newhaven-Dieppe but that's probably the worst of both options. i used to go regularly wiith P&O Ferries Portsmouth-Le Havre but now we go Portsmouth-Caen. It's a little bit further from paris than Le Havre but if you're going for a few days this is not a problem and if you go overnight then you arrive in Paris late enough to avoid the worst of the rush hour.

That is the view of the people that know about these things, apparently. I believe it's to do with freeing up ownership in the bank. I think we need to rake a global view about these bank bailouts, we may take a small loss on one deal but regain it elsewhere. There has been some debate about the overall net cost of the rescues and it appears to be approximately neutral, give or take a few billion . We have go a lot of our money back over the last through years through fees and charges. We shall see, it should keep economists busy for another decade or so.

If only we'd given Ali Dia the same amount of time who knows what he might have become

At current rates thats's not a lot over £10m so we're not very far away, if these reports are accurate. -
I use Google Chrome so it's a right-click and select 'translate to English' Mon 03 Aug 2015 05:45 Right Winger be successor to departed Jean-Paul Boëtius Feyenoord is for Elijah by Marcel van der Kraan Feyenoord's former Orange International Eljero Elia attract as direct replacement for Jean-Paul Boëtius. The tip, which last season when Ronald Koemans Southampton got another chance but could not stay, can leave at Werder Bremen. Elia also has a regal job offer from the Middle East, which is well above the salary of a Dutch club would rise. But which party will quit now Elijah to take the time to look at an offer from Feyenoord. Dead end The right winger is in his German employer at a dead end. That is also the reason why he last season was loaned to Southampton. The entire career of Elia can anyway do with a boost. There has been much criticism of his lifestyle and his behavior off the field. The footballer has some of those stories always tried to talk to, but the best way to silence his critics is a long time to perform well the mouth. Dirk Kuyt That chance Feyenoord wants to offer him, provided that he gives everything. Five years ago, Elijah came in the World Cup final still within the lines, replacing Dirk Kuyt. A reunion with the Katwijker, which indeed make the most of his career, Elijah could do much good.
