  1. Possession 67:33 % yet lost 1-2 Sound familiar?
  2. Are you saying it's the public's fault for voting them in?
  3. Isn't it all clap?
  4. Somehow I see us finishing above Arsenal this year. Our two games against them will obviously be good indicators of how we stand.
  5. I wouldn't classify him as someone who could be the focal point of an attack.
  6. There was too much emphasis on banking and not enough on other aspects of the economy. Blair and Brown were enthralled by the City bankers and overlooked everything else. Basically they didn't think that anything could ever go wrong and that we ought to be putting away something in reserve for when things went belly up.
  7. Someone up front in case JRod takes some time to get back to where he was?
  8. It all sounds a load of Cobblys.
  9. Ah, thanks.
  10. Boruc has gone for the season, I thought.
  11. You have to be careful with the figures, absolute, a percentage of GDP, adjusted for inflation...
  12. The man's a pillock and shouldn't be given the airtime.
  13. He doesn't score many goals himself but his presence forces defenders into conceding them for us
  14. Because he's got history.
  15. The problem appeared to be his right hip, just below the pelvis. With his shorts pulled down we all had a good view from the Kingsland
  16. Don't undervalue the defensive side. Only five goals against is extremely valuable.
  17. This was his day, Bournemouth are delighted with him. It's just that somehow I keep expecting him to drop a clanger.
  18. I was pleasantly impressed by that.
  19. Just seen it. Good save, surprisingly.
  20. Nooooooooooo! Death of a legend I must dig out my 12" LPs of Wheels of Fire and hold an appropriate tribute. Thanks for the memories Bruce. RIP
  21. I should just add... A great finish from Mané, the ball came to him quickly yet he dispatched it cleanly and firmly into the open side of the goal. It would have been very easy for him to have blasted it over the bar.
  22. Thanks, that makes nice reading and warms the cockles of you heart. I like the phrase 'after shifting all that dead wood'. The Deadwood stage has left town
  23. Clyne was the other side of the pitch so I don't know what he could have seen. The alleged incident happened right below me in the Kingsland and right under the assistant's nose and I certainly didn't see any knee but the two players were very close and there may have been some personal contact. Tadic was obviously upset about something and wasn't the same player afterwards. Personally, I think he was having a protest about some earlier incident
