  1. Oh, all right, but it doesn't get you very far. Especially if you spend half of it on one player.
  2. It's incomprehensible.
  3. Leave out Ramirez and it's a lot closer. Norwich at least made wholesale changes after promotion.
  4. How much have they spent since being promoted?
  5. Pollish: rather like an election.
  6. £30m doesn't begin to buy you a team of Premiership players.
  7. If I remember correctly, his record at Tottenham was comparable to other's.
  8. As many have said, the timing of the decision is crazy to reckless, bordering on stupid.
  9. Yes, that is a worry.
  10. Wouldn't that be the definition of 'higher profile'?
  11. Far too soon to comment on his Premier League record.
  12. Let's not lose perspective. We have a long way to go to get back to where we were under Lowe in the Premier League. Our best team then would batter the one we have today.
  13. I expect a spell of ten games or so whilst he gets to know the team, the other teams, the style of play in the Premiership, the football culture, the local culture, the national culture, finds somewhere to live, learns the language, during which time we muddle along slowly sinking into the bottom three.
  14. The problem is the chairman. Is he putting off potential new appointments? You can offset bad management style by paying lots of money, otherwise all you'll get are 'promising young talent' who see us as a stepping stone to greater glory. This also applies to Nigel.
  15. I don't hope that he fails, but I can't see much success in the immediate future. If we do go down then I can see a few years before we're back up again.
  16. Something like 12 to 14 points, I fear, which won't be enough. Monday night's game is crucial. Three points and all is forgiven, no points and I foresee a gloomy decline.
  17. I couldn't have put it better myself.
  18. It was a similar situation with Lowe and Rednapp. It's not that easy to have a competitive team full of academy youngsters. If it were, they'd all be doing it.
  19. It's the timing and the manner of his dismissal that upset me.
  20. And if he was the right choice then...
  21. I think it's more likely now than it was yesterday.
  22. Somehow it would make relegation easier to accept.
  23. We're in the Premiership now. The only way is down.
  24. I would say worrying, not exciting. I'm too old for excitement.
