They might have been right. Just because things have turned out differently three years later doesn't invalidate the original opinions.

The original post was nearly three years ago. I still maintain that he was not what we needed at that time, and I think he still has some aspects of his game that need improvement. I would put Surman, for example, ahead of him every time.
