Vote for MLT as the greatest ever Premier League striker

I reckon Baj could rent this Forum out to any tyrannical dictatorship in the world. Better vote riggers than the Zimbabwean and Iranian governments IMO! -

That's two things you don't normally see in the same sentence!! -
Luton have signed George Donnelly on loan from Plymouth. In preparation to let Craddock go?
-
We may well have some targets that are dependant on their current clubs being able to sign the players they are after. If so, expect those negotiations to go to the wire. Out of contract players and loans can be signed after the window shuts, so I suspect at the moment the priorities are the permanents.

But he wasn't a striker (well not in the true sense of the word). Shearer will win best PL striker. -
Does anyone know whether the articles are written by journalists within the club or are they written centrally by premiertv or whatever they are called now? Might explain it?
-
UEFA maybe but not FIFA. If FIFA did not sanction it they could ban any club or player playing for those clubs from taking place in any their competitions. Therefore all players coaches and officials would have to say goodbye to any international ambitions and any career after their contracts/employment with the breakaway clubs has expired.

Nah, Hampshire should have signed him as a fast bowler. He would have skiffled the opposition out!!
-
A new ESL would still have to be sanctioned by the governing bodies and therefore still have to play by their rules. But as you say, there will be some lilly livered compromise deal that in effect will be no change from what we have now.

Correct!! The problem with football is that the Premier League is not the only high profile league in the Northern Hemisphere. If we introduced one unilaterally, the top players would only go off to Spain or Italy to get their over inflated wages. If UEFA and FIFA impose a wage cap Europe and world wide, well all well and good but certain teams are starting from such a high platform that the rest would never be able to catch up.

Very true, but those of us who remember his very early career, playing in the Ressies and Youth team, he actually started out as a lanky skinny kid who had a bit of pace about him, which is why when he played in Chris Nicholl's team he was a winger. I remember on Reserve game at the Dell v Chelsea (3 all draw IIRC) where he played and terrorised their defence. I was sat in the upper west stand with a group of Chelsea fans behind my talking about him and one piped up and told the rest of his group that Le Tissier was a Belgium youth international that Saints had just signed from Anderlecht (or some team out there).

Schneiderlin wants to Leave / Rasiak

We have picked 3rd tier players for the age representative sides (the full side if your going back to the Steve Bull days). The Peterborough goalkeeper playing at U19 and U21 level the most recent of those. -
It's actually 60% but they've got around it because Sven and Campbell have been "donated" by their owner.

Trouble is, as soon as he realises he's talking to himself, he reappears with another persona. They're all on my ignore list!!! -
Think you guys missed SitS point!!

I remember Rupert had a warchest once, apparently?!!
-
That's what I thought. Just a bit shocked when I saw he'd been released on the Sky Sports website.

No It's a FIFA directive. The UK Leagues have a 1 day extension due to bank holiday. -

Premier League Extends Transfer Window Wednesday 19 August 2009: The Premier League have released a statement regarding the deadline for the summer transfer window. The statement reads... 'The Premier League confirms that the summer transfer window will close at 5pm on Tuesday 1st September.' 'The summer transfer window is scheduled to close on the final day of August but, following normal Premier League guidelines, it has been put back because 31st August falls on a Bank Holiday.' -
Looks like they're preparing for life in the CCC!!

Or ask Jimmy Case!

I wholeheatedly agree with this but IMO was the wrong player at the wrong time for us and not suited to the hustle and bustle of the English Leagues 2nd and 3rd tiers. For the players development sake and for our own current situation, best decision is to sell him and hopefully make a small profit along the way. -
Do they have access to the internet out there?
-
Because he still harbours an ambition to play for the Poles in the world cup and even though Saints are a bigger team than Reading or Watford, he feels that he has no chance (and you can't argue with that) if he his playing third tier football.
