I don't know. SC is not getting any younger and may just relish the challenge of trying to get Saints back into the big-time?
-
Good to see that the old Bill are using state-of-the-art photographic equipment. There's only a couple of recognisable mugshots out of that lot.
-
Wouldn't they be in trouble for trying to tap up a Manager employed by a rival club?
-
They'll be useful when we "Playaway!"

Too good for League 1. He'll probably follow Rogers to Reading.

According to the bible (ITN) Fan Zhiyl turned out for us in a trial back in 1997.

Didn't we nearly sign Abel Xavier once? Did he play on trial?

Not according to some on here. Seems we could get half a dozen with more ability, from Wessex League teams? I agree with you by the way!

I'll bet that if Grant Thorton were brought in at Anfield, they would come to a completely different verdict for precisely the same circumstances.

And all this is before the multi-millions they plan to spend (borrow) on the new Stanley Park stadium.

It's actually Liverpool we're talking about here but if their auditors are questioning their going concern status, then I would say they are struggling to pay it back.

Unforetunately, it seems it's different rules for the "big four" than for the rest. I can't see Barclays bouncing one of thier cheques forcing them into administration.

I wonder what Ajax supporters think about an away friendly against a 3rd tier English club? Anything like we have in the past going to Holland or Sweden playing 3rd tier teams? A complete waste of time, probably.

Me too!! I'm amazed that he his not listed and amazed that Bury's Alan Knill hasn't. AK has been nominated many times on all different threads (even if they have all come from 70's Mike ).

New Owner NOT named at all, really...
krissyboy31 replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Saints
Yes but the new owners could be "The Pinnacle Group" or similar. The money man doesn't have to be listed as a company Director. -
There's only one effin' Forest!

Johnstone's Paint Trophy final. Wembley here we come!!!

Ryan France is also being released by Hull City. A decent player at Championship level, can play RMF, CMF or RB. Would do a good job for us in League 1.

Have you ever thought that maybe it's because of the passion of people like Nick, Derry, Simon, Lee etc. that potential investors saw that this club is actually worth saving? If everybody had the attitude accepting our fate, we could be dead and buried by now.

There is no way NI should be slated for what he has tried to do to help keep this club afloat. I've known him for many years and he bleeds red and white. I don't agree with his political views on the club and the sidling up to Lowe and Wilde and trying to get the fan on the board but he has put in hours of his free time to help with the fund raising including the Saints Aid day. I don't know if you were there but all of the guys involved in arranging that deserve our thanks and our praise for the work they put in.

I would renew my ST if I lived closer (but the reason I didn't get one this year, for the fist time in 20 odd years, was distance rather than Lowe, even though he didn't help). I'll get a membership this year (for the first time) and get to the 10-12 games I managed last season.

I don't think this is necessarily true. Many teams have a subscription web-based tv station (albeit pod-cast style) and give licence to a local radio station to provide match commentary, without actually owning one or having one on their own premises.

Perry and Clive on Nes at ten talking about...
krissyboy31 replied to ooohTerryHurlock's topic in The Saints
Trouble is Nick, there have been may decent ideas over the years to regenerate the city. Feasibility studies by the score, which has cost the local taxpayer millions. Usually these have fallen by the wayside, either scrapped completely or scaled down to such an extent that they bare no resemblance to the original plans (Woolston Waterside, likely to go the same way). The various councils throughout those years (and all the parties have been responsible) have taken the easy option, which has left the mish-mash of town houses and apartments Southampton has today. Still no focal point, still no plaza, still no ice rink, still no indoor arena, still no heritage centre and still no wow factor. Frankly, P*rtsm*uth (and it really hurts to say it) saw where we were going, saw their opportunity and basically trumped us. -
Possibly but the new owners will not want to pay that sort of wage, while we are in League 1 and nor should they.
