  1. This. Did exactly the same for my five year old and it's fine. Will also give him some years use
  2. A bit like me. I lived in Andover and we were closest and cheapest team to get to................do I ever wish my dad had put his hand in his pocket and taken me to London?
  3. With all that is going on at our club, where the rumour mill is doing overtime and nobody really knows what's going on it made me think of what the club means to me. My first memory is in the late 70's maybe early 80's when we had probably one of our best periods. Since then it has been at best I would say average. Jobs, girls, homes and holidays all come and go but what stays constant for any supporter is his or her football club. At the moment I miss the feel good factor, I don't care about the league we are in I care about how I feel about SFC. If that Is in the Prem where we can compete then fine - but if its in a lowere league where I have that feel good factor again, I can easily get tickets and I'm not ripped off then fine - because for me the two previous seasons where far better and infinitely more enjoyable than this one is or will be.
  4. I agree......he is class and why should Fox be expected to cope? What I will say is this. He has had a taste of what Bale can do and how he will go about it. Lets learn some lessons from it when we play them because so far this season learning lessons is something we haven't done well. FWIW I would play Clyne at LB when we play Spurs.........infant I'd play him there every week over Fox
  5. lmfao!
  6. Just watching Fox play for Scotland. Just reinforces how we should have strengthened in this area. Bale is taking him to the cleaners and I worry for when we face Surs soon. Will we learn ai wonder?
  7. Just wondering if anyone knows when these may go on sale. I have checked the poor excuse for a Saints web site but unsurprisingly can't see anything.
  8. I was there. In with the Everton crowd high in the stand. I had a great view of this game and it was quite apparent in the second half we didn't really have ago and it was as if we were just happy not to lose the second period. That really disappointed me and it made it a comfortable forty five minutes for Everton. We were powder puff - nice and neat at times but no real bite. I like NA but he made some errors in his selection and he didn't freshen it up when he should've.
  9. I like many don't use it. This could cost the club in lost revenue streams and if they know anything about marketing they should do something about it. It is shocking and if someone from my company either produced it or signed up to it heads would roll.
  10. I have a friend called Jialong who lives in S/Pore. Some of you may remember him. A few years ago he won a comp where he relied on Saints fans vote for him for something or other. His prize was to come to the UK and see a Saints game. Anyway another trip he came on (it may have been the one he won, I'm not sure) was to see Matt Le Tiss's testimonial game. I got hold of Graham before hand and he gave Jialong his ticket to the post match party - at Jumping Jacks I believe. That to me said a lot about the bloke and is something I've not forgotten, and no doubt Jialong hasn't either. Cheers Graham.
  11. Well judging by his JPT performance tonight it was the right decision!
  12. I intended going today as at the last minute I could. It meant a 400 mile round trip. But when I saw the site and that all tickets appeared sold I clearly didn't bother. To now see that over a thousand were not sold is somewhat galling.......softened somewhat by the fact we lost and I saved over a hundred quid. But that's not the point. It is poor marketing. It appears that its not just on the field we have to learn.
  13. Richard head.........some people are clearly of limited intellect.
  14. HR has said on Sky Football Text that he is depsrate to get back and it wil be in England. We are mentioned but not by him as one of his previous clubs and that he is missing being involved in the game. He says: 'I've managed good players at Tottenham, Portsmouth and West Ham. Honestly I enjoy working with good players to be honest with you when you've been working with top players it's very difficult to work with inferior players if you like. I think I'm capable of managing at the very top so well wee what comes up'.. . . . . . .read into that what you like but it says to me what he thinks of us and our current squad.
  15. It's actually closer to Manchester!
  16. Thanks everyone. I'm trying on an iPad so that may be the problem. Will try on another machine.
  17. Anyone had any problems with it? I am trying to buy a ticket for Wigan but after logging in I a Can only get as far as selecting the game, then it takes me to a view of the stadium but no option to request what seat I want. Anyone got any ideas?
  18. On the subject of apps what about an iPad app for this forum and is there one for the new web site?
  19. No I'm not inviting you round for dinner! I am just watching a recorded episode of one involving Neil Ruddock, John Fashanu, Frank Worthington and Carlton Palmer. Great to see the three ex Saints who apart from Razor still look in pretty good nick. Always remember that one season Frank had with us where he only scored 4 goals (including one in the 8 - 2 victory over Coventry) and we finished second being knocked out by Everton in the cup semi at Highbury.....still haunts me! 1984 was it?
  20. According to Sky he will sign within next 48 hours
  21. And Lowe got £100,000 bonus for delivering the stadium. For the first time ever I can say I am def ITK on that !
  22. Thanks. Anyone know how I can contact Steve Grant?
  23. I have been contacted by the manager of the Arsenal Supporters Team with a view to playing against our fans when we meet over the New Year period. Is there anyone out there that knows if we have a team? I am sure we have and said I will get back to him. thanks. Simon
  24. We cocked it up. We are bottlers that don't do big games. The ref made one poor decision, our side made many. They need to be more professional and get on with the game. This side needs major surgery and if we end up in the play offs we will bottle it.
  25. The only miscarriages of justice are those that are aquitted.
