Sheff Wed also did it in play off second leg last season. Nice tribute to Markus but I didn't know what it was at the time. GN usually respectful of other clubs - expecting Trousers to post a 'storm in a teacup' picture...
-
I spotted that as well but also saw Sunday and at other games eg WHU that he has had trouble taking GKs by the second half. The GKs start with big distance but reduce as the game goes on.

Good - about time. When I used to work in London, I was nearly nailed quite a few times by cyclists ploughing through red lights when the rest of the traffic had stopped. He should have got a separate penalty notice/ban for not wearing a helmet either. Motorists are rightly highly regulated and their road behaviour scrutinised. Whilst cycling is good for congestion and the environment, there are too many dangerous cyclists who see the Highway Code as an optional extra. Some hefty fines should change behaviour for the hardcore and help the responsible ones.

BUT...Plymouth and Donny are solid top 2, despite Tues slip ups. Luton and Carlisle are decent sides for that level and could easily get 3rd. Exeter were on a great run and have goalscorers for that level - Wheeler and Reid. Skates could 3rd or 7th - Luton home and away in PL SFs they would not want. Just think of the pressure of the Bestest on those poor journeymen lucky enough to wear the same shirts (well, they aren't really) that won Division 1 in the 1930s.

I could live with it, especially if his wages on a new contract were too much for FFP. We get through the end of the season potentially in a better place, transfer window screw up rectified, MC will be motivated to get match fit and put himself in the shop window. Yoshi and Jack train with him and become better players. The cost isn't prohibitive for this period of time and we got a fair wedge for an ageing but popular Fonte. most of which we still have for a younger replacement. Win-win as far as I'm concerned. Imagine if he and Virgil are able to play together by the tail end of the season, both fully fit?
-
Still worth a try - we have enough league games and prize money to make it worthwhile. Besides, sooner we are over 40 points the better and people are assuming Stephens/Yoshida/Gardos won't get injured/banned. Gardos's recent injury record is evidence enough to push this through if club, player and Home Office willing.

Who here wouldn't go to a match because it's Valentine's Day

It was: Magilton's debut and Maskell's return. MLT scored a hat-trick, 2 pens for handballs v Mark Wright with an orange ball but his first, very early on, was a sensational volley. Maskell got the second but faded afterwards. -

Yes, I think they did but don't know if it lasted. On another note, Valentine's fell a few years ago on Thursday and Spurs were in Prague in an EL game. They sang 'We Love Tottenham more than you'. To answer, yes I would and wife would want to join me. -
I wasn't suggesting it was - would just like an acknowledgement that balanced and objective views exist. Shame your post failed on this count - partisan again- and we all have to be rose-tinted glasses or Reed out camps. Thankfully there's more common sense at the games themselves.
-
That's the outfit for Middlesbrough away surely.... Lol at Micky's video clip as well! It's not 657 or Headhunters you have to look out for, it's Nordic Saint....

You are entitled to your take but the Fonte/CB situation was/is behind much of it. Didn't have a good summer window either. He gets credit - and has been much praised in the media for 6 years of progress - so he has to take responsibility for not delivering on his promise to replace Fonte, especially after VVD's injury. We allegedly ended up trying to sign Jordi Amat! Well done on Gabbiadini - great signing - and many of the others - but we needed a striker in August despite Claude's nonsense about Redmond as a striker.
-
Sensible post alert. Whatever happened to balance, objectivity and constructive criticism? Corbyn, Brexit and Trump I suppose.
-
He will be off in the summer anyway and looked better without him slowing things down. Great result and unexpected. Well done Jack Stephens, massive confidence boost v Defoe and Yoshida much better than last week. Romeu a beast. Tadic back on form. Full backs superb.
-
Time for Claude to come out of Les's shadow today. Man's game so only Stephens to feature from the academy intake. No more quotas - let the man pick a team to pick up enough points for the rest of the season.
-
This is a man's game in men's conditions - no place for kids like JWP. Claude needs to tell Reed where to stick his academy quota today and save his own skin. PEH definately should feature for height and power. Stephens has to play but at least is 23. Romeu needs to focus on screening the back 4. Would be hugely delighted with a point today, would consider it almost an upset in our current slump. We will need the same effort, pressing and focus as Anfield.
-
We should be able to manage a point a game average with the fixtures left. Should be enough and 5 to spare. Whether that's good enough for KL and Ralph to put the axe away is another story.
-
With £100m worth of reasons to stay up, 3-4 clean sheets will do the trick and hopefully some organisation and experience would contribute to that. £45k a week is well worth a gamble but if helped us win half-a-dozen games, even £100k a week is cheap at the price. If he gets he snapped by Chelsea etc in the summer, he'll have done a valuable job.
-
How did he get on? Too soon for Sunderland but hopefully gets Fraser looking over his shoulder and fitter as well- lame effort with WHU's second goal.
-
Could be summer 2017 move as long as we stay up. VVD is gone but might be difficult to get Bertrand to stay without some major early signings.
-
Quite quick too, rare combination of attributes. If a contract extension hasn't been offered yet, then I do wonder what our DoF is up to. Pretty clear he was making a mark at that level by November.
-
Great response to a daft post. J Rod to Sunderland is fine, doesn't want to be at SFC. Sam Gallagher to SAFC not fine. Would rather see a new deal offered and if not, we have a season out of him and take the development fee.
-
No rotation necessary, this is a crucial game. Not must win quite yet but in huge trouble if we lose. Let's hope the closing down and work rate is 10 times better than we saw on Sat. Midfield cannot be so open in particular.
-
Looks very much the case and was a huge risk by Reed and Wilson. Let's hope Caceres can stay fit for some of the games and gets us enough clean sheets

Oh and happy birthday Alex!
