In fact he might not even make half time at this rate....!
-
I don't see Mr Mclaren lasting too much longer.
-
Thanks for that - it's actually refreshing to get it 'from the horses mouth', one of the best's post I have read in the lounge for some time.
-
I also believe that HM Forces are afforded some 'leaway' to discriminate anyway, due to the operational side of thier job role - I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure that is the case.
-
Let's just say that it's not gonna be a contender for the 'golden thread' forum....!!!

I think we'll need a plan 'b', just in case:

I don't normally read your posts, but somebody else prompted me to this time. Go on, I dare you, go look in the mirror and read those words out loud - see if you can see any blinkered people. 'kin hilarious.....

This. Well remember him asking all the questions that nobody else wanted to, or had the balls to. He may have upset many of them - but he was absolutely correct in his appreciation of the club. For me the more Claridges and Savages on pundit teams the better. That said I still think that Aunty Beeb will gag most of the more intersting stuff that they want to say.

Shooting on/near HMS Astute alongside in Southampton
Micky replied to doubleonothing's topic in The Lounge
Exactly, so if there was enought doubt that he had to be tested prior to the duty, then he surely shouldn't have been entrusted with a loaded weapon. Given your post above, I wouldn't issue you a pea shooter, let alone allow you to board a nuclear submarine ffs....!!!! -

Agree - he should be punished. But how would you test somebodies sobriety to substantiate that they are fit to be issued a loaded weapon? If there was any doubt whatsoever, don't give it to him - the fact that they thought there was a possibility should have been enought to prevent the issue. -
Where on earth did you get that from?

Do the club still employ a PR company to post on messageboards?
Micky replied to dune's topic in The Saints
Are you bored. Or are you somebodies plant. Or are you just plant life? -
Do we actually have to take sides, or can we be adult about it and acknowledge the great contribution that Matt gave to the club during his time, whilst also acknowledging Nicolas current contribution. In recent years, both have effectively 'saved the club' in different ways. Time to shake hands, go to the bar and get the beers in.

Server was awesome here Baj, blink and you miss the fact that it's refreshed already. Can you slow it down a bit for old guys like me who can't keep up...!!!! Can't win can ya - damned if you do, damned if you don't. Seriously though - top, top service here. Tks.
-
Good result - win your home games, get something away - can't argue with that tbf.

3...! So far...!

This is actually a very good point - if you look at our goals conceded, we are halfway down the league. At the moment our strikers are keeping us where we are, we need to tighten up at the back.
-
Did well for us, hope he can do a bit of a 'David Wetherall' at Bradford City. Memories - Valley Parade - first ground I took my first son to.
-
Great result for us tonight - but we need to do a job tomorrow.
-
So basically you agree with me, we could occasionally 'knock on the door' ala the two clubs you mention - what chance have either Fulham or Stoke of winning the Premier League Title? No lack of ambition here, as you like to call it - just a realisation of true expectations.

Thanks for that. Very good of you to assume budgetry control of the club based on the owners wealth. Yes it is a factor, but, again, just because our owners have billions does not mean that the budget will run to that. I know it's difficult to understand - but if they were going to give us the same backing as the billionaires at say Chelsea or Man City, then you would probably have seen just a little more activity in the transfer market this season. Hence making us much bolder this season, perhaps. I have not said that the situation will be the same as the last time that we were in the top flight, but neither do I think that (in my lifetime) we will be serious contenders to winning it. All I have pointed out is that many have tried, well about 40 to be honest, but most have failed, many have come nowhere near to winning the league. There is little competitivness to the overall aim of a league system i.e. to finish top. As a result, and largely because of financial gain, most teams that make up the league are there not to challenge for the ultimate prize - but to take the biggest wedge that they can. But then again, what do I know, I don't have the faintest idea.
