  1. Any chance of just telling us what user name he is using instead of all the cloak and dagger stuff...??
  2. He leaves unscathed because that is the nature of the unfair world in which we live. Shareholders have lost money (but thats a risk any shareholder runs), I don't know for sure but I would imagine that RL has lost quite a bit of credibility in business circles since this whole sorry mess went public, so perhaps he doesn't get off scot free.
  3. Why not - no matter what, he didn't go out to purposely put the club into administration - he tried, he failed.
  4. If you are referring to the period of exclusivity, I don't think that he has the mandate to make that call. Remember, there are still other bidders on the periphery of this deal who may very well still have an interest in trading. Fry would effectively be blocking what is after all a 'free market' if he extended the period of exclusivity as paid for by Pinnacle and no doubt communicated to those other interested parties. I don't think that he can stop them re-entering the market now if they so wish. How much notice he takes of them, and whether he uses their interest to his advantage is another question of course.

  6. A less dramatised report from Sky here: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11719_5389552,00.html

  8. I think that the FL will probably want the weekend in order to work on their own strategy FF. This is not an easy one for them to worm their way out of, and therefore they will probably see the next couple of days as 'breathing space' and a chance to try to come up with something watertight for Monday.
  9. Big problem there - where do we find one of those these days Phil...???!!!
  10. TL - top man - was just about to ask for a quick update - many thanks on behalf of us all.
  11. Errr just as a matter of interst (to me only!) whats the weather like, I'm off to Peschiera on Tuesday for a bit of a break.
  12. Not 'arf - especially after he's lost a game, he'd luv it, luv it...!
  13. Well the timings appear perfect for me - off on holiday to Lake Garda on Tuesday, by then we should be in the know and it will be the perfect start to the holiday.

I know, MLG made the FAME = BOS connection, and while I agree it will initially - ultimatley seats will only remain full if results are good. FAME alone will not fill stadiums. I agree with you, certain managers will attract certain types of players - some managers will have better contacts than others as well. At the end of the day though - results will be the key.
  16. Noodles - if it helps, I honestly think that you are going to struggle to get both the new owner and manager into a nutshell....!

Exactly - you can play the fame card only so far. I hope that Alan Shearer doesn't find that out too early at Newcastle next season as that looks likely to be his first managerial position. Would hate to see him fail at his first attempt as a manager.
  18. I think if you read St Louis' 'one liner', it was said (posted) very much 'tongue in cheek' - the quotes, use of the word unbelievably and exclamation mark are the clues - I think.

Agreed MLG - but those bums on seats will fast disappear should the 'Famous One' fail to add SUCCESS (WINS) to his portfolio. Remember we are fickle, and at the first sign of trouble I fear 'the bums' will vacate their seats. Fame will, admittedly, get you off to a flyer, but ultimately everybody will be judged on the results.
  20. ...and WGS...!
  21. Yeah I know - but it was nothing to get steamed up about really though...!
  22. In that case it is patently obvious that they are not on gardening leave as the ground is still totally overgrown, there is no sign of gardening whatsoever. Perhaps then, they have just been put out to grass...!!!
  23. Go on - you know you want to.....!
  24. Ahhhh Jim Ratcliffe - that all fits in perfectly with the last CD clue - clear as mud now.... oohhhh...!
  25. Listen, I don't care who or what he is - there is absolutely no way that I want a cross dresser running SFC - period...!
