What the upgrade or the 876 users...!!! Either way - well done, and thankyou to both Steve and yourself for continuing to provide this forum - has been a 'life-saver' over the last 90 days or so. Gotta say though, now that it's all 'dun & dusted' I might well end my '90 day F5 vigile' here and go for a beer...!

Gotta say - 'The guy dun good... (very good...!)'

I'm sure that they will be a huggin' and a kissin' again once the deal is done...!

Exactly, some of the posts on here remind me of kids running around all excited on Christmas Eve. Not only do I agree with everything DD has posted, but I also don't think that it is likely that the Pompey takeover will fall apart either. We are going to be looking up at them for some time yet - so best get used to it. Ok so the Swiss guy has money - but that does not mean that he is about to p i s s it all away on SFC. Lets wait and see how things pan out before we all go mental - we've done absolutley nothing yet, and next season is going to be probably one of the hardest in the last 5 years. Yes there is good news coming, but we are still in League 1 with one hell of a fight on our hands.

Dunno - some tool...

I have an old trumpet, not been used in years - anybody want to buy it per chance...?

Or errrr..... just don't know, per chance....? My how the ITK'ers have fallen eh...!

No contradiction in errrr actions here guys then... no?

FFS get him a Big Mac - he'll be happy....!!!

Good question, reading that it appears that they are still in consultation and no decision has been reached or agreed.

I suspect that Rallyboy has a very droll sense of humour. Fair play to him as well.

Looks like somebody clocked him with a golf club - probably another bad loser somewhere eh...!!!

Sounds like the only thing you missed was mustard - ham by itself.... yuk...!!

As usual, a lot of sense in there Frank. I, like you, (and most here) really just want to get on to the important issue of Football. However, lets look at it from Pinnacles point of view for a moment, and take a more protracted view of the situation. They naturally want to get the best possible deal - obviously that would be starting on a level playing field with no points deducted. As a consequence they have decided that the right of appeal should stand. Now take a slightly longer view of the situation as well. What if, next (this) season, we actually manage to get into a play off position - but fail to gain promotion. It is very likely that those points would've gained us an automatic place. All hypothetical, I know, but if it happened, then would we, the fans, not be asking why Pinnacle did not fight for the right of appeal? I think we would. I'm pretty sure that Pinnacle will complete the deal - they just want the best for themselves, the team and the fans. In order to get that we need to keep our nerve and remain a little more patient. Oh and BTW - I agree with your sentiments with regard to MJ - he needs to stay away while, how shall we say, 'the preferred' bidders do business.
-
Don't forget - Mr Frys mandate is quite simple really 'sell the club (to the highest bidder)'. Therefore it is probably a very good 'leaverage tool' to have with the current (Pinnacle) and any other potential (Swiss) buyers in order to get them to act quickly in securing a deal. He probably knows full well that MJ does not have the wherewithall to complete a deal - but he's hoping that MJ's presence (and intent to buy) may make others act sooner rather than miss the chance.
-
Take in the posts - not to sure what that means - I read them. My remark was tongue in cheek - I am well aware that you are not MJ - he would probably of mispelt 'no' anyway. Still dont really understand the need for secrecy with this particular person - nor do I think you know - you have assumed.
-
Ahhh right - so not guessing at all - just (at best) making assumptions based on errrr style. Go on - tell me your assumptions so far.
-
No matter what you think of MJ, it is quite evident that he does have some kind of 'backing'. He would not attract the sort of media interest that he does (has) if he had no contacts or backing whatsoever. Mark Fry would not have entertained him for one second had he not proved a certain level of competence within his bid - whether he was used as a tool to lever bidders better suited - who knows? I too, personally think that he is way out of his depth - but I don't think that he 'imagined' everything. One other point - remember - not too long ago, before the Pinnacle bid came to the fore - there were quite a few people on this board showing support and gratitude for his efforts.
-
I think you'll find that the MJ link was removed some weeks ago. Perhaps his current backers saw it and were unhappy with the way it portrayed thier frontman - I know that I would have been.
-
Ahhh right - so you are guessing then.
-
With an answer like that to my question you could well be MJ.
-
So how do you know that he is posting here, or are you just guessing again?
