Admitted I got that wrong whilst supporting Saints!
SaintBobby replied to Nadia Sllim's topic in The Saints
Way more than five.... Burley was the ideal manager to get us promoted. Having just gone up from League One, we'd be lucky to finish in the top half of the Championship. NC was wrong to sack Pardew and wrong to sack Adkins Gaston Ramirez would turn into our best player ever Rudi Skacel would turn into one of our best ever players We'd walk the Championship in 2005/6 I'd probably never see Saints win at Wembley in my lifetime Moving to St Mary's was a mistake, because although the Dell was just a bit too small, we'd only ever attract crowds of 17,000-19,000 We'd almost certainly be relegated in our first season back in the top flight (only started to change my mind after we beat QPR away) Yoshida would replace Fonte as a first chocie centre back this season The list goes on and on... -

Can't remember which thread I asked for £100 on 1st at 500/1 and 2nd at 350/1...still up for that? By the way, you don't necessarily make "nothing back". If you put £10 on Saints to win the League at the start of the season, you could now sell that betting slip for about an £80 profit. (alternatively use betfair to back and lay your bets) -
We're not really in the title race. We're at 250/1 to win the league, which is probably about right - i.e. the same sort of chance that the Liberal Democrats have of winning the next general election outright. Am starting to think top six might be possible though. And I'd say we're heavily odds on to finish in the top half now.

What do she do particularly well? I guess not noticing the officials is usually a good sign. But did she have any tough decisions to make?
-
Deal. Can I have £100 on each of those, please?

Looked great for 15 mins, especially as he's just back from injury. Could be superb for us over the long run.

In a just and fair world, AL all day long. In the world in which wearing a Man United strip seems to automatically entitle you to represent your country, 50-50! -

Very, very pleased with that. A slightly - but only slightly - shaky ten minutes after they scored, but we were truly superb. Good to see us score more than 2 in the league for 1st time this season. Shame about the sloppy goal - otherwise we would have broken our all time record for minutes played without conceding a goal at home in the league. Lallana was from a different planet today - surely his best ever Saints appearance? On the side topic of England, (a) surely he will play a good chunk of the friendlies (b) his prospects of being selected for Brazil must be edging towards 50-50? Happy, happy days! -
Lambert: "No point in you screaming at him, boss...his cock is this big...."

Utterly brilliant thread. Controversial and challenging. Speaking for myself, I hope we finish in the top 4 too.
-
Brilliant thread. Just awesome. Let it flow....
-
yeah, total nightmare if that happens. let's hope they sign Schneiderlin and Lovren instead. Reckon we could get away with that?
-
I think we're doomed whatever we do. Wigan will stay up and we will come 18th.
-
It wasn't really their 2nd string...mainly squad or starting XI players. If we'd put in Osvaldo that would have been "a change"...but not really a 2nd string player. Sunderland pretty much fielded their best availbale team (given they ahd an injured goalkeeper and two players suspended)
-
Game over. Feeble effort overall.
-
My God. Adam Johnson is truly awful.
-
Should have started with Lallana and JWP.
-
Have we managed a shot on target yet?
-
Only caught a juddery replay, looked like a good-ish pen shout for the tackle on Davis rather than the initial one on Chamnbers.
-
Could have understood not fielding our absolute strongest side, but to field virtually none of our strongest side is annoying. Quite possibly squandered a chance of a great cup run.
-
Not really, no. They've made a lot of changes (seven?), but they are fielding a team of players who typically or often play in the Premiership. We have only 1 or 2 of our startng XI out there.
-
Price you pay for putting out the 2nd team. Disappointing.
-
Groan.
-
Anyone know who our 5 penalty takers would be? This is getting very dull....

I think your view on him has long since departed from any sort of objectivity. He's been one of the most involved and dangerous players on the pitch - it was a bad miss though.
