  1. improved this season, but still not good enough for us and never will be Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  2. Always a worry when we are awarded a pen now. Used to be safe in the knowledge we had been awarded a goal when Lambert was on the pitch. A real letdown of a season. Get rid of Puel next week and let's try something different Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk

I'm still waiting for someone to come in with a ridiculous £25 bid for JWP. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  4. We've gone backwards this season for sure. Not all Puel's fault, but I don't think he's the man for us. The EFL cup run was great but many teams have made it through to the final before. That aside, there just haven't been many highlights. The Europa League was a major disappointment and Puel's rotation has been massively frustrating. Quite simply, there has been a lack of entertainment and very few memorable games. I am struggling to think of any great wins; Inter Milan at home was good but that aside? Under Koeman and Poch we played some great stuff and beat all the top sides along the way. I am aware we may still finish 8th, but I feel that distorts the real picture; the way the league has been this year has been top 6, Everton and then very little between 8th to 17th. 5. tbh if Gabbiadini and Austin are fit then Long is fine as a back up option. J-Rod has sadly had it, could see him going back to Burnley or somewhere. Not sure if we will get much for him. Incredible even just a few months back on here some were suggesting he was worth £15-£20 million. No chance Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  6. usually get nervous watching our games but have really lost interest this season. Liverpool only need to step it up a gear and should win this comfortably. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  7. strong side that, but Chelsea's line up is worryingly strong. Boufal really needs to put a performance in tonight.... Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  8. sort of expected that today. I swear Kompany always manages to turn out when they play us. I just hope Les and co are sorting stuff now for the summer. I'm not the biggest fan of Puel but he's had far more limited resources than Koeman and MP so hasn't done too bad a job. If we only lose VVD then we have a chance to build a decent squad for next season. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  9. tough one to call. Incredible how we are still managing to get some decebt results with the players we have available. Very worried with no Romeu though. A point would be a decent enough result. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  10. Worried about this one; we will struggle to score and if Palace play anything like they did at the weekend then I can see them winning. A few tough fixtures coming up for us, need Gabbi and Austin back asap to get us over the line. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  11. We were always going to go backwards at somepoint. The injuries to VVD and Austin have been a massive blow to us and the squad Puel has had to pick from simply isn't as good as we have had in recent years. I have lost interest a bit this season but it has generally (cup run aside) been pretty poor. We really need to sort out the forward line for next season; J-Rod sadly looks to be finished as a PL striker. If Gabbiadini and Austin can stay fit we will score plenty of goals. Boufal is a worry still; it seems he almost wants to create problems for himself to try and overdo things instead of just beating his man. We were always going to be due an undewhelming season and some seem to struggle to accept it. Spend the VVD money wisely and I'd expect a much better next season. We just have to put up with getting beat a few more times this season. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  12. not a great game. Spurs weren't great and look ordinary without Kane. We did the damage in the first half and couldn't get back into. Not our best performance, but certainly not our worst. We have been playing on a serious handicap without VVD and Austin, now to add Gabbi, we really have been unlucky with injuries to big players this season. Looking forward to next season now. Austin/ Gabbi with Long as back up would be ok, it's going to be dfensive reinforcements we really need. Final thought - Boufal had a shocker, still yet to have a good run of games though. A disappointing first season, but plenty of potential for next year. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  13. It's all a bit boring now. Let's face it he obviously had some issues with the club, otherwise there would be no need to do an interview like that after leaving. My guess is the EC victory went to his head, but it all backfired in the end and it must be a bit embarassing that he ended up at West Ham. He was a great captain, but he's gone and we move on. 14. Quite fancy to do a job on Watford today, their team looks bang average. 2-1 Saints. Gabba and Redmondinho Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  15. Gotta give a lot of credit to Puel; you can see he put a lot of planning into the game. I thought we would try and keep it tight but we attacked them from the off. It's strange to say Utd weren't at the races, even though they scored 3. Zlatan is a machine. Gutted to lose, but there wasn't much more we could have done. It's a good springboard for the last few games. We've the makings of a good side here, but as usual depends on our summer activity. And hopefully some players will see we are trying to achieve something and aren't a million miles away. I think with the europa we've had to take a step back. final thoughts - JWP played very well for about the third time ever - Just imagine Mourinho if it was Utd who had that goal disallowed Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  16. Gave it our all. No complaints. Utd weren't great but Zlatan is world class and is a game changer. We don't have players like that. We did ourselves proud though. we march on Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  17. matchday. Let's do this Saints. Man Utd to dominate. Yoshida with the winner . 1-0 Saints. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  18. Good stuff so far. No fears of relegation now Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  19. I'm not a fan of JWP, but after a bit of initial promise Hojberg has been no better than him. He shouldn't be looking elsewhere, he shold try to perform when he gets the chance. About time Tadic had a decent game. Our front 3 is a bit of a lottery every week under Puel, but I have a feeling it might work today. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  20. nervous for this; it's a massive game and right now I'm doubting our ability to stand up and be counted. A win would be huge but Sunderland have picked up a bit and what might have looked easy on paper 3 months ago no longer does. We have the ability to turn up as we showed against Liverpool and Leicester, but with Claude's constant rotation (and injuries) you don't know what youre going to get with Saints these days. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  21. Jan-Paul Saeijs, scored 2 for us against Watford away in the Championshio. One was a free kick from some distance Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  22. You just worry where the next win is coming from. The performances against Liverpool and Leicester were decent, and Bournemouth before that. But they are far too infrequent. You just wonder where the next points are coming from, as confidence will be low right now and we are lacking in quality. Relegation has to be a concern. I'd like to think we will be ok but if we survive it really will be a case of limping over the line. Les Reed has done a good job until now; it's like the Adkins situation. He's out of his depth and needs replacing. Puel too. Sadly I can see them both staying into next season. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  23. relegation battle now. Sunderland will certainly fancy their chances against us next week. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  24. true, flashes of brilliance so far but with his injuries he's had no real run of games as yet. This could be his time now. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
  25. Les will just bang on about getting to the EFL cup final at the end of the season as a sign of progress to paper over the cracks. We have a choice over whether we want to truly try and progress with the club. The foundations and funds are there. Les is more interested in running it as a sustainable business. I hear people say it's risky to throw a load of money at signings to try and buy success. You know what's also a risk Les? making a massive **** up with the recruitment of defenders. We are in a relegation scrap now, make no mistake Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
