  1. Can anyone explain to me why this business of moving in the wall continuous to happen throughout the professional game. The keeper takes an age precisely lining up every angle to cover one side of the goal, and then some complete 'ponce' who earns 10's of thousands a week jumps out the way cause the balls going to hit him! Isnt that the point of the wall?................................... Besides that, on that money you would have thought he could take one in the knackers for the team would you not?
  2. Am I correct in thinking a win for us today and either a draw or loss for Bompy would guarantee us a play off spot?
  3. Good to see more Saints suporters than Man U in one bar!
  4. I've been told that Turnstyles Sports Bar is showing the game!
  5. By the way Davey where are you watching at the East Coast?
  6. Exactly, I don't think I will be watching in 'Crazy Horse'! I was thinking the Man U bar at boat quay. Asked around Clarke Quay area, but they have said they are shutting at 0100. I would be surprised as its Man U out here!!!!!!
  7. Still no idea where the game is being shown in Singapore?
  8. I think I'll be out here in Singapore for the Man U game, so is there anywhere particular where the game is being watched by Saints fans? I usually watch the premier football somewhere down in Robertson Quay.
  9. That is the quote of the day!
  10. Yes, spent plenty of time there over the years. Not known for its bars packed with footy supporters........ Good luck!
  11. Having watched the game today, what we need is a quality motivator/man manager. Get the heads up and gel the team. The skills are there, they just appear very low with regard to moral. If Adkins can bring this to the table together with some intelligent tactics he will do well! And I believe he can also!
  12. Just back from the game...... yet another dissapointing display when it came to finishing. The final ball was just not good enough and finishing dire! Lambert looked like he couldn't be ar5ed! There was just no spark in the team! Harding I thought had a good game as he generally does, not sure about Guly at all?!?! Missed Lallana for sure! Good news was a least Kelvin booted the carp out of Austin! Ha Ha!
  13. 'I'm alright Jack', I've got my Mum's house a mile up the road! You might want to try the big Tesco's or Go Outdoors stores which are around the back of the ground. Otherwise the cricket ground as above is usually OK. Just be careful leaving your car in the Walcot estate, at least if you want all four wheels when you go home!
  14. Foreign Manager - Zola Wow Factor Manager - Martin O'Neil Up & Coming English Manager - Adkins
  15. I thought we took enough to fill both stands last year and that was a Tuesday night! Wasn't it around 2500 to 3000?
  16. Have to agree with the above. Yesterdays game could have very easily been 4-1, had it not been for two shots off the woodwork and at least one top class save from their keeper. Yes our passing in the last third was poor and I think Barnard was frustrated with having to deal with poor delivery. I am positive he would have made a lot more of the game had he been given decent ball. Almost without exception he was holding up a high ball and then having to turn. Both him and Lambert were closely marked and this led to the lack of better finishing chances. Lambert is still not match fit and looked a little lethargic towards the end. I was surprised he was not taken off instead of Barnard. Lallana is also still not right up to speed in my opinion, but showed some flashes of class, which will be the winning difference when he is fully fit. Puncheon I felt took a lot of stick, but still looked like the midfielder that was most likely to deliver the killer pass. Its only our second league outing and there is clearly still so much more too come. I for one am not worried just yet, if you look at the results so far there is nobody who is really outstanding. If we are worried about the likes of Bournemouth and Carlisle at this at this stage then we really are in problems. For me, we still need more strength in the midfield and this will then open up the firepower up front. Jaidi is also an issue. He is a powerhouse in the air, but absoulutely no pace running backwards to cover. This is a weekness the pacey teams will exploite. Overall just keep the faith and get behind the team........................ booing the team like yesterday is just crazy! COYR
  17. Just going to say the same thing!
  18. My understanding was that Man City did have a v good youth set up, prior to the big spenders arriving. So this would indicate a move in the right direction!
  19. The way things are going at the moment, Orient (and more importantly Barry Hearne) are going to end up the loosers! He really is going to be P***ed with us!
  20. St Mikie

    injured fan?

I think that was probably a friend of mine's Mum. I believe she is OK, although a bit bruised! She did get a Ricky Lambert signed shirt out of it and a visit from AP, so all's well!
  21. Keep the faith! Win all our remaining games and the others will c**k up at some time during the run in. All we have to do is get 100% behind the team. COYR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. 78 and 6th! One point ahead of Huddersfield. Norwich and Swindon to go up automatically! We play Leeds in the playoff final and win 2 - 1!
  23. Leeds could end up in trouble this season if they join the playoff lottery!
  24. I have not seen the tickets yet, but it looks like the money has come off my credit card, so I guess yes!
  25. I've just been down to the ground to get my ticket. There is no queue, just walked straight up. The guy on the desk said there were about 5000 left? He did not think they would last until the unlinked general sale.
