I listened to his interview after taking the Reading job and thought it sounded basic to say the least. It had no real substance to it, just that Reading was a good club and they would take each game at a time. He did not sound that prepared and it was certainly all the familiar sound-bites he was quoting. I liked the guy, but I did not think he did himself any favours in that press conference. Anyway lets just draw a line under that one and move on!

The trouble with stories like this is that they are writen to try and give the impression that the Saints managemnent are a bunch of indecisive amature baffoons. Where as I think recent events show that Cortese is anything but indecisive. So far all of Saints transfer business has gone on behind closed doors and I do not see any reason why this situation would be any different. I certainly dont believe there is any 'dithering' involved. Of course West Ham and Newcastle are interested, he is a good player!
